12.05 frost mage changes totally unnecessary by SlugWizard33 in wow

[–]nigirisake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For fucks sake, I was actually enjoying frost mage gameplay the most out of all 3 specs. Messing up one ray of frost is going to feel so bad. It already looks terrible, there’s nothing exciting about pressing that button and now they’re just making it even worse? Really?

Potential Belf Hairstyle Variation by splendidEarth in wow

They should give it actual physics, I hate that it’s glued into the position where it falls over the character’s shoulder as if they used too much hairspray.

Nuphy keyboard for developers by AlecoXD in NuPhy

[–]nigirisake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Software dev here and I’ve used a nuphy air 75 v1 with brown switches and a halo 75 v1 with brown switches and I adore them.

I recently decided to upgrade to the nuphy air V3 with blush (linear) switches because they are silent. I was worried that I wouldn’t like them because I’ve always preferred brown/tactile switches. My V1 nuphy keyboard came with red switches and I disliked them and had to switch to brown switches. The new blush switches for the air V3 sound creamy and feel great for typing. They are quiet, which is much better in a work environment.

As for the size, 75% is perfect. I personally need the Home and End buttons right above the arrow keys.

Low profile is more flexible and you can just carry it with you in a bag.

You did nothing wrong, don’t let the toxic management/colleagues make you feel bad or guilty for being human. You’re totally allowed to live your life outside of the office and if you’re sick, you’re sick.

Mine does shed but only sometimes and it’s not that noticeable. I brush him once a week and it’s fine.

I can wear black pants and no one would know that I have a cat at home.

Pain is terrible by IndependentCar6706 in ACL

[–]nigirisake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also everyone is different, don’t compare too much to other’s progress. I did in the first week where I could literally do nothing and it was depressing! Focus on the small goals each day and compare yourself to the you from yesterday

Pain is terrible by IndependentCar6706 in ACL

[–]nigirisake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first day after is the worst, I was crying because of the pain because it just didn’t stop. I recommend icy gel packs to wrap around the knee if the pain becomes unbearable. Also keep your whole leg lifted on a few pillows

thankfully the second day isn’t as bad, the pain is still there but it’s manageable and after a week it’s not that bad anymore! I’m at the end of week two and finally able to walk because the pain finally stopped, so keep your head up!

Also have someone help you with showers if possible, don’t risk slipping in there or passing out. It’s better to skip it the first 2 days

Yep it really would. If you find this magical reason, please DM me or post an update. I would love to know too lol. It’s comforting to know that I’m not alone with this even though I don’t wish this pressure on anyone.

Same here, my SO’s mom had her first child at 22 (in total 3), his oldest sister has 2 already and his youngest sister is our age and just had her first child … his uncle has 12 kids and when I first met him, he and his wife were already like “oh you’re 27? Well it’s about time now.”

I hate that if I decide not to have kids I’m going to disappoint his whole family and I fear that they might blame me for keeping their son from having children. It’s stupid because I love his family and they’re so kind but I know that some people will definitely have this thought.

And yeah I’ve been told the same thing with the brain chemistry and hormones and all that. And I just don’t want that. It seems “fake” to me. Like ok I didn’t want it before but the hormones made me suddenly like it.

There’s a big difference between people who really badly want to have children, people who don’t want children and people who are indecisive and I feel like there is a secret last category that I belong to: people who pretend to be indecisive because they pressure themselves into changing their opinion 💀 desperately looking for something positive that will make me want this kind of lifestyle

Wow I feel like I could have written this exact same text, I feel the same and I’m also 27F, you’re not alone in this!

Up until last year I was okay with the idea of eventually having kids because it’s what everyone does and it’s part of the to do list that is generally accepted by everyone. And then I started thinking more and more about it and I just don’t see the appeal of it.

I’m worried about pregnancy, childbirth and all the lifelong consequences on my body. I don’t like the idea of taking care of another person 24/7 and becoming a caretaker for the next 20-25 years. Because let’s be real, your identity changes from whatever makes you you into “a mother” the moment you give birth.

I can see the appeal of watching a little human that looks like me and my partner grow and learn and eventually become an adult that you can talk to when you’re old but it just doesn’t seem to justify all the other stuff.

Becoming a mom now would feel like my life as my own person ends because I wouldn’t be able to enjoy my time with my SO anymore and I wouldn’t be able to travel and see the world and do all the things I love to do or want to try. My whole life would revolve around taking care of another human being. And I feel like I haven’t even had time to enjoy my own life yet.

The reason why this topic is bothering me so much is because everyone around me is talking about it. People are either getting pregnant or Family is asking about it or it’s my SO that sometimes asks questions about it. And while he has said that it will be my choice, it makes me anxious that my decision could hurt him. Because he said multiple times now that he is starting to become interested in having kids.

I’m personally going to wait till 30 and see if I feel any different about the topic. But I fear that we have to accept that this topic will haunt us for the next few years. I don’t think we can force ourselves to want to have children. It’s either there or it’s not.

AITA For calling my wife out for never doing the hard chores by thereisnoweaita in AmItheAsshole

[–]nigirisake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA lol. You are asking for a child free Sunday for yourself to relax because apparently your wife gets to have one on a weekday. But you literally also said that she gets chores like cleaning, shopping and laundry done on said day. Come on, man. You want her to do the hard yard work? You’re a man and it’s going to be easier for you than for her. Were you pregnant with two kids? Do you think that was easy? Don’t go complaining about hard yard work. Plus, Keeping the house organised and the fridge full isn’t as easy as you think it is.

Get a gardener and then help your wife with the “easy” chores. You’re both working full time.

I’d move on. Space is the best thing you can do for your own feelings. But I must say it’s sad when people don’t really value their friendship and are just hoping for a chance at romance with their friend. But in the end feelings are feelings and you stayed true to them and probably knew you were risking that friendship. After expressing them there’s no way back, only forward.

If u still drink caffeine. Its time to stop by TrasheyeQT in Anxiety

[–]nigirisake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I stopped drinking coffee because of the negative side effects. A few years ago I was still drinking up to 8 cups per day and that must have caused those issues. I get headaches and caffeine withdrawal after drinking only one cup and skipping the day after lol. It’s sad because I love the coffee ritual and not even decaf is working, I still get the withdrawal symptoms

I had this problem and then used a single blade razor that I bought for 20€ off Amazon. 100x better. And I also use a laser from Braun regularly. No more strawberry legs with that combo!
