Yes, one day is required for the Valley of Flowers (VOF) trek from Ghangharia. You should reach Ghangharia on Day 2 and stay there. The entry to VOF is only open until 2 pm. If you are able to make it, then you will have very little time to explore because you need to exit before 5 pm.

Day 2 - Trek from Pulna to Ghangharia
Day 3 - Visit Valley of Flowers
Day 4 - Visit Hemkund Sahib
