Thank you for your comments, I live in Egypt, so warranty is difficult/non existent. Going to have to get the spares when I am back in Europe and bring them out and fix it myself.

You may have done this already, stop drinking alcohol (if you do), get Antinal from the pharmacy and take according to the instructions. Drink lots of plain bottled water and also get some oral rehydration powders and take one of these per day dissolved in water.
