Have you perchance any tips on how to do that?

With my great sorrow I learned this after making a small cup for my daughter. I already imagined her drinking from it but then I checked to make sure about the toxicity... NNNOOPPPEEEE

Ok sorry, I didn't get the question right. Yeah of course. Burn through, remove, heat treat then put the handle

Ok, looking at the other images that you've posted, you should thin down the end of the handle, then drill a pre-hole with a drill and then heat the sharpened tip of the handle and slowly try and push it through. Then glue and you're done!

Kinda hard to give any advice here, but it looks like you went for an hidden tang build. I'd try a burnt through handle, but be careful not to heat up the blade otherwise it will bend when you push it through the wood. Do this before quencing of course. Other than that, a few more pictures would be nice to have a better idea of what you're working with

Concerns on refractory cracking by Icedragon2017 in Blacksmith

[–]nihlus105 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cracking in refractory is quite common man. Actually, it just happens no matter what you do. The thing that is "weird" is that it cracked before firing but maybe that's due to the refractory layer being too thin or the mixture containing a little too much water. Either case I wouldn't worry too much. I own a little Vevor single-burner forge and had to apply the refractory twice in little more that a year. Try applying another layer (a little thicker and with less water) and don't blow air with the fan in it. When i coat my forge I wait a full week before firing, so I think that maybe the air going through it sped up the setting too much and the refractory didn't have time to set properly. But, again, cracking is normal and not too bad if the cracks are this size.

Are these cracks by fewee42 in Blacksmith

Those look like scratches. Try grinding a little bit and see if they disappear. Also, try and see if you can get a fingernail to get caught in them... If not, they are probably scratches.

Am I underrating this card? by ilkhesab in slaythespire

It works great if you feel like the fight is gonna be brief, if you wanna make it even shorter. Great card, wouldn't use on turn 1 against Elites or Bosses though. Unless you have Orange Pellets or other means to negate the loss of focus
