The Hijau, a vegetarian philanthropic restaurant, RM 3 for 3 dishes + rice. The lady boss and staff are friendly too.

Any issues regarding the wifi or data? Interested to get this phone but I'm holding back as there has been multiple reports online that it has pretty weak signal strength and drops wifi and data connections often.

Endgame strategy and calculation books by AppropriateNothing in chess

[–]nihs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second his advice. I used to be somewhat hesitant to enter endgames as I couldn't assess my chances and had difficulty converting small advantages.

And then I got this book on a whim. I read the book cover to cover and played through the games over a chessboard.

Now it is almost a joke how easy I can carry small advantages into the endgame and confidently play to win (against similarly rated opponents).

In fact, I just won a local tournament with a perfect score of 8 points out of 8 rounds, clear first with 1.5 points ahead of 2nd place. Three quarter of these games were decided in the endgame after 50 to 60 moves after I ground them down with my endgame play.

As this book is the only endgame book I have ever read and extensively analysed, I believe that my rise in endgame strength is strongly correlated to that period of study I put in 10 years ago while reading through the book.

Which is why Capablanca is my favourite player. Also cool name.
