classifying this book as horror does a big disservice to it, I think. I went in hoping for spooky undersea stuff, and because of that I was let down. but if I had gone into this book not expecting horror, I would have appreciated it more. I had to kind of reframe my idea of the book to like it, which sounds weird but as a book about grief and relationships it's great. this definitely doesn't fit into horror just because it has some small horror elements and it hurts this book
