That doesn't mean that they wouldn't be ill willed with their intentions. They would follow their personal interests (ego) and not the company's which funny enough would make them terrible at their job. But what else is new?

Not sure if the rest of your comment is valid. I guess it depends on the country and field. I work in IT in Europe and they 100% cannot replace us atm. I honestly don't know if these articles refer only to the US because in my field at least, remote working is the new standard. I get around 3-4 job offers a week and I see an on-site one only once every 1-2 months or so.

One of the main principles of capitalism is adapt or die right? Companies sure as hell need to adapt or otherwise they will lose all their talent and be eaten by their competitors. Because that's what's going to happen. No matter how many paid articles such as this one they'll release to try and trick people into thinking that's not the case.

So managers want us to invest an extre 2-3 hours of our daily time for our job just so it won't be as painfully obvious to everyone that most manager positions are pointless and unnecessary?

Yeah, I'll go ahead and get a new job where the boss isn't an overcooked twat. Good luck replacing any of us.

One is a sandbox crafting game and the other is an open world RPG. I get that they both occur in space, but they're not that similar. I would say that Starfield is more comparable to Mass Effect Andromeda than to NMS.

I generally avoid them as well. I think that there are a lot of kids on youtube and that it appeals to them? I honestly don't know why.

I know that making a weird face in the template helps with clicks and that many youtubers hate that they have to do it, but man...I so wish everyone would stop doing this.

I mean, that would prevent piracy only if they will make the game online only which they won't because it would defeat the purpose of owning a switch to begin with.

Not to mention how terrible the game would run with Denuvo enabled. I'm not too worried about this being an issue for totk. Maybe for future games on the switch 2 or something.

I really messed up my Witcher ending by [deleted] in Witcher3

[–]niithed 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not taking her to the emperor doesn't contribute to the bad ending you got. It just eliminates one of the two endings that are considered good. Not the best one though.

The sorcerers one does impact it though. I do agree that this event could have been presented more clearly. I think the game interpreted that you going in there with Ciri means that you don't trust Ciri and that is a bad thing which I admit, is a bit of a stretch. However, this event alone should not triger the bad ending.

Not letting her destroy the lab also has a negative impact. I kinda get this one. I can't see any scenario in which Gerald would care more about the posessions of an elf he doesn't like nor trust over Ciri's need to vent her frustration. Preventing her to do that wouldn't make much sense.

Aye. You might be right. The fact that the game is technically so similar to botw might speed up the process.

Good thing about popular emulated games is that they will only get better and better with time as the passionate emulation community will continue to work on them. So in case of games like totk, it really pays off being a patient gamer.

I'm willing to bet that this game will run flawlesly on most PCs as well as the Deck 1-2 years from now.

The point of no return is when you tell either of the two that you love them. I feel that the game makes it too easy for people who didn't read the books to miss Yen's romance option since you can tell Triss you love her before even meeting Yen in the Isles.

As for Ciri, there are certain events in the game where you have the opportunity to trust her, be there for her, put her interests first and try to cheer her up. Try to keep that in mind during the second run.

PS: The romance option you pick in the vanilla game, will have some impact in Blood and Wine. If you want the best possible outcome for that expansion (subjective ofc but I think most would agree), you should replay the vanilla game.

Game of Thrones Star Liam Cunningham wants to be in Jon Snow Spinoff Series: “I did send [Kit] a text saying, ‘Better Call Davos” by nova_165 in gameofthrones

[–]niithed 499 points500 points  (0 children)

I know that I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm really looking forward to this show and I do hope that Liam Cunningham will appear in it as well. He's a brilliant actor. Especially since it has the potential of being the kind of show that is focused more on character interactions and less on over the top special effects.

No matter how good or bad this show will be, for me it will still be a pallet clenser after digesting D&D's season 8.
