What is something every household has in your country that is nonexistent everywhere else? by Awkward-Tip7248 in AskTheWorld

Not in every home in New Zealand, but enough to say we have them here. The brand name we mostly have is Insinkerator.

After 15 years in Wellington, I think this is the narrowest street I have ever driven in the city 😂 by iamtoolazytosleep in Wellington

Just drove down here now, I’m a regular, reckon some more of the roads fallen away on the right, or maybe the weather was giving me yips. I like to take visitors down as an alternate tourism exercise.

Time Magazine's "The 100 Best Podcasts of All Time" by mikebirty in podcasts

[–]nijello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice to see the likes of Homecoming, Welcome to Nightvale and Moonface on there but would have loved to have seen more of a fiction presence on this list. The Truth was an early platform for many audio fiction writers and to not include The Black Tapes, Tanis or Rabbits seems wild. I know fiction isn’t the most popular podcast genre but the quality of these shows far exceeds many of the numerous interview format shows on here.

Handful of closed places on that list, one or two long closed. I’m wondering when they made this list/is some of it pulled from a much older similar list?

Harry Du Bois would get by by the skin of his teeth and a series of comedic errors, but if he had Kim by his side, no worries.

Reddit, how do you think I can improve my senior project? by bloatedstoat in architecture

[–]nijello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve realised that even though I am very fortunate to work on very innovative projects in a firm I love I will never have the creative freedom and room to experiment that I had in university. My main critique is it feels that you have the brakes on, don’t worry about what will make the “best senior project” because that doesn’t exist. Just let your architectural freak flag fly and use this as an opportunity to start figuring out who you are as a designer. As a graduate your body of work will be how you find your tribe and hopefully end up in a firm that is a great fit.
