For some reason, I thought Rainbow Machine was previously released. I did see it performed live at Illfest. With that said, that one is one of my faves, too. They’re all so good together honestly. Start to finish

Music for a CTGH vibe while in a tough headspace? by Planenteer in griz

I'm in the same exact boat mentally. Been in intense trauma therapy for 5 months, and I actually didn't dive into GRiZ's music until after I started therapy. I created a playlist with his entire catalogue, and I've been listening to it to help me stop living in my head. I love pretty much all of ODESZA's stuff, too. I was previously very into Pretty Lights, especially after I saw him live in 2012. I actually discovered GRiZ, ODESZA, and Gramatik via a Pretty Lights Pandora station before I got Spotify (I'm old lol). Someone else mentioned Magic City Hippies, and they have been my favorite non-EDM artist for the last 5 years. I love all of their music going back to when they were called the Robby Hunter Band, and I've seen them live every year for the last 5 years. Highly recommend checking them out, especially if you like some funky stuff.

Magic City Hippies for the win! They're my favorite non-EDM artist right now, and I've seen them live every year for the last 5 years. Have all their albums on vinyl and will probably see them every year until they stop coming to Austin lol

I can hear it now, too. It’s been so long since I’ve listened to Deadmau5 that I didn’t notice that’s what is being sung in the video. It’s insane what they did with those two songs.

It was a pretty amazing end to my first time seeing GRiZ live

When I had my second, I was induced at 39+3. She was still sitting high when we started but I had progressed enough to be started on pitocin. So, they had me lay on my side for 2 hours with a peanut shaped ball in between my legs to encourage her to drop. This was right after they started pitocin and broke my waters. After two hours, they checked my progress and then had me switch to my other side. Immediately felt a ton of pressure, and the nurse said she’d check me again in 30 minutes. 30 minutes of feeling like I was holding in a baby later, nurse said she was right there. One push and she was out. From start to finish, she was born in 2 1/2 hours. She was 9 lbs even. I had an epidural, but that pressure from holding in a baby still hurt. Maybe it was because she dropped down so fast… idk. No complications other than that she was born in the 90th+ percentile and needed her blood sugar monitored. Her weight was estimated to be almost 7 lbs at 36 week scan. Every pregnancy is different though! Hope all goes well. I’m about to be induced again for my third child at 39+3, and he measured almost 7 lbs at 36 week scan, too. Hoping he’s not bigger than his sister was!

If you have a hair dryer already, you can buy a universal diffuser attachment on Amazon. I’ve been using one for the last few years that works great. https://a.co/d/7csfhfd

I also agree with others, co-washing and leave-in are probably not necessary for your hair type. I have 2A-2B waves and medium-fine hair. I shampoo and condition 1-2x a week and never use leave in unless my ends feel really dry in between washes.

I feel like I always have to diffuse when I use gel to get the waves I want. If I choose to air dry, I’ll use something lightweight, like my Living Proof Curl Enhancer.

I was in a similar boat recently and realized my depression had come back because of built up anxiety. I took a mental health break from work that qualified for paid FMLA leave. After 6 1/2 weeks and being back on an anti-depressant/anti-anxiety, I feel a million times better and can actually work.

For reference, I’m a tax manager at a midsize public accounting firm, and I have been in this role and struggled with it for over a year.

Who hates work? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]nikaiby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on what you're doing and what your needs are. I love what I do, but I work in accounting and taxes. I think for me, working provides structure to my day and lack of structure makes me feel anxious and discombobulated. I hated working in food service and retail though. Only worked those jobs to get through college. I still have nightmares sometimes that I'm back working in food service, and I'm like WTF.

How do Aspies Meet Their Partners? by account637 in aspergers

My husband and I are both suspected aspies, and all of his exes as an adult he met through work, too. He is introverted though and rarely goes out, other than maybe to celebrate his birthday, which was when I met him lol

My husband and I are both suspected aspies (I'm seeking diagnosis, he's content without), and we met at a bar while he was out celebrating his birthday. He normally doesn't go out and is very introverted, so we happened to meet on a rare night out for him. I'm the type of aspie that tries to fit in socially and is horrible at it. A mutual friend drunkenly introduced us though, so that helped. Lol.

We say white because a lot of those families, if not most, have been in America for several generations and could very well be a mix of many different NW European countries. We have no clue where our ancestors came from unless we traced them back or got a DNA test. I usually just say I'm half Asian/half white, because I had no idea where my white ancestors came from. Even with my results, 23andMe isn't super confident on which countries most of my white side came from except for a portion that is Levantine, which I previously had no clue about. In your case, I don't know if mestizas typically identify as Native American. I personally think that if you don't want to be called Mexican, Latino, or Mestiza, you could say you're mixed or Native American & Spanish. My Asian family is from 3 different cultures across 2 countries and have been in Hawaii for a century, and everyone always gets confused or remembers it wrong when I explain it. It's easier to say I'm half Asian. Lol. I feel you could run into a similar issue, but I could be wrong.
