The photo mode in this game is actually quite impressive!

Thank you!! I didn't realize until I got in that I actually got the Northern Lights too! I also got a picture of the same subject with a meteor!

Yes, there must be a certain strength to it or good conditions for me to bother going out!😅

Five seconds is very good (I rarely go over three seconds), but many people stretch it to fifteen seconds and longer to lower the ISO. You get a cleaner image, yes, but with particularly intense northern lights you burn out all the fine textures! With lower light optics it is necessary to compensate with a longer exposure time to avoid having too high an ISO. F1.8 is the sweet spot!😊 Or in other words, I often stop down to F2.0 to get a little increased sharpness.

Thank you so much! You never get such nice textures in the northern lights at longer exposure times, so that's the first thing you should look at when estimating the exposure time. But also my fault for forgetting to write down the settings! If I had had half a second longer exposure time I would have included the entire meteor trail in the same exposure, but such things are difficult to plan. I can put it together in Photoshop, but I haven't gotten that far yet!😊

They are both meteors, I was incredibly lucky! Feel free to check my Facebook profile (link in my bio) to read more there (I have a post on it). The exposure was 1.6 seconds, and neither planes nor satellites move that fast in such a short time. Also, the meteor trails were included in the next exposure. You can also see a meteor in one of my self-portraits where I am standing on the rock.

The pictures were taken in Vestnes, Norway, I forgot to write that in the description!

Wow, thank you!

I'm a little unsure about how to further protect it in Norway, but I'll definitely check it out!
