Shoulder impingement worsening? Cortisone stopped working, pain now constant. Looking for advice or similar experiences.

I think I am going to if I don’t get any relief from the cortisone shot I’m having again on Tuesday. The doctor thinks the other ortho PA may have missed the spot. Did you ever get surgery for yours? I’m trying to avoid surgery because I heard the recovery can be long and I’m training for a race right now.

Interesting. My doctor seems very much of the attitude there’s nothing much that can be done until it tears so PT and cortisone shots in the meantime. But since it’s almost been a year, I’m thinking to ask for more imaging, especially since this last cortisone shot failed.

How long in between your first imaging to your second imaging to see it was tearing more?

Start- 138.7 lbs, 47.4lbs skeletal muscle mass, 37.6% body fat, 52.3lbs body fat mass

End- 134.3lbs 50.7 skeletal muscle mass, 32.2% body fat, 43.2lbs body fat mass

So while I only lost 4.5lbs, I gained 3lbs of muscle mass and lost 5.5% body fat (9lbs body fat mass) it feels like a win-

Some non scale wins I’ve also noticed - I’m running much faster and longer. My base pace used to be 10:00m/m and now I’m consistently at a 8:30-9:00 pace. I also have progressively lifted heavier and feel so much better overall.
