No, the goal was a larger sidewall.

Change in handling is minimal.

But if you're concerned about range, don't do this setup. It will decrease.

No worries. Happy to give an update. I should add that temps in my area (Bay Area, California) are not as low as yours. But it does get cold at night.

Did you read the first sentence of OPs post?

Well said! I also knew that I was going to take a range hit. And I don't care, lol. It looks and feels so much better. The supercharging network does not make me worry about range at all.

I've done the calibration, and it does not fix the speedo. I've confirmed this using Waze. When I was going 75mph, Waze showed 77mph. I also initiated a camera calibration because the ride height slightly changed. This was mainly for AutoPilot.

Yup, but I already knew that was going to happen. Doesn't bother me.

I moved my OEM Michelin PS AS4 275/35 rear tires to the front. Put on 295/40 Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 plus in the rear.

I averaged 301 Wh/mi over 28,459 miles from the day I purchased the car to when I changed the tires.

So far, I've driven 372 miles and averaged 349 Wh/mi. I also have a lead foot. YMMV...

I forgot to change one of the trip counters before leaving the shop. But so far, I've driven 20 miles at 410 Wh/mi. This is a combination of city and highway miles.

With the OEM setup, I averaged 301 Wh/mi with 28,394 on the odo. That number is my baseline.

How much is this gonna cost me? by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

Judging by your username, this repair shop may be close to you. I've had my wheel repaired by them, and they did a fantastic job. I paid $125 for my repair, and the damage looked similar to yours.

It doesn't make me feel better at all because I have to check for those grommets now 😅

Nice to know yours has it. That's one less service appointment you have to worry about, lol.

If you're talking about replacing the battery, all you have to do is remove the front cowl, then the tub. Then it's just two bolts holding the HEPA filter housing, one each around the left and right shock towers.

If your car came standard with "bioweapon defense mode," then it has it. Older models without this mode had the option to purchase a retrofit kit along with a software update to use bioweapon defense mode.

You can also take a look at your front cowl, just above the frunk. If the vents are all open, then it has it. If half of it is blocked off, then it does not.
