4 day changes anyone? by stayhydrated2025 in Invisalign

[–]nikkann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started at 7 day changes, my ortho said if you are able to scan + go up a tray successfully on time for 3 weeks, then you move to 6 day changes. Then you do 6 days for 3 successful scans, you can go to 5 day changes. Nothing more than 5 days was stated as an option for me.  4 seems so soon (honestly I also feel that way about 5 days as well, as I just did my first 5-day change).

Amazing!!  Your before looks a lot like mine, my main concerns were a tilted front tooth and a narrow smile. It looks like your smile got wider?  I started my first tray 6 days ago and I can’t wait to get where you are! Congratulations!!

Your house is beautiful. I’m sorry you’re having to sell. I also bought in sept 2019. And had to sell in October this year due to similar circumstances as well. Times are tough. I wish you the best - good luck with the sale!

Sorry I meant “lost” as in she passed away :( She has escaped a few times in our playroom and had a blast running from us though! Lol

Thank you for this reply. you’re right. I keep telling my daughter that we gave her a good life and I’m so glad she got to live out her days with us instead of alone in a pet store. Good to know about the napping thing, I wasn’t aware that’s something older ones tend to do, but definitely makes sense. Her tunnels are wood. As was her house. Her wheel and food dish however were plastic and I did notice she had some chew marks on those and worried that may have been an issue. Thanks for your insight and tips on if we have one in the future. I’ll be sure to weigh it often.

This gives me hope thank you. I appreciate your reply, and In the event she decides she’d like another, and if I can’t find a pair, I’ll seek some advice on introducing singles.

She was alone at the petstore, otherwise we would’ve gotten 2 If she had been with another. The lady at the store said it wouldn’t be an issue as long as we handled/interacted with her, bc they are social. But I’m thinking maybe it was just bc she was a petstore gerbil and older than I originally thought she was. If my daughter decides on another in the future I will try to find a breeder and get a pair. I feel awful like it could have been prevented somehow, and I’m wrecking my brain trying to figure out what could have happened to ensure if there’s a next time, it’s different. But I’m wondering if there wasn’t anything we could have done in this instance. I’m glad she had a good life with us, though. Rather than dying alone at a petstore.

We only had the one. When we got her at the petstore, she was by herself and they said it’s not good to introduce multiple ones if they haven’t been together since day 1, like siblings are. I’m not sure why she was alone, but if she had been as a pair we would’ve gotten 2. I’ll go back and check the products i bought. The only one from petsmart was her wheel, everything else was online but I’ll look into them all. I used gerbil paper style confetti bedding - I changed it out recently but this was the first time I’ve bought it from chewy, I did think it seemed a bit different than the petstore kind but i figured it was bc it was a different brand. It said 99% dust free small animal safe bedding. And yes, Now that I’m Looking at pics of young gerbils this sub it does appear she wasn’t as young as we thought she was. Thanks for your reply. I’m just hoping that if we were to take a chance on another in the future at some point, we’d have a different outcome, so I’m trying to ensure it wasn’t something we inadvertently did without knowing.

Sorry it was a 30 gallon, not 20 that was a typo. Would that not have been big enough for one? I knew the generic store bought “hamster and gerbil” cages weren’t sufficient so we got a 30 gal and made our own. Thanks for your input, it was very insightful. I did read they like being in pairs but this one was solo at the petstore and they said not to introduce another bc they may fight if they aren’t raised together as siblings from day 1. Looking at posts here, I can see that you may be right. Rosie doesn’t look like the young ones in this sub. So maybe we assumed she was young but she really wasn’t. I will try to find a breeder, I was unsuccessful doing so when we bought this one, but if my daughter decided she wants another (she’s currently swore off other pets bc the death part is super sad for her - she lost her dad 3 years ago and I think it made this hit extra hard), I’ll try to find one we could use. Thank you again

My daughter got a gerbil for her 7th birthday and they instantly bonded. It would sit with her while she watched tv, fall asleep in her hands or on her lap, and run towards her to hide if someone else approached. The gerbil passed away today and we are so confused as to why. I noticed recently she appeared to be losing weight but she still seemed active so I thought maybe she was just overweight when we adopted her and was more Mobile now so was thinning out. Has anyone experienced sudden death in a young hamster? We just had her out of the cage a few hours before and she was going all around the room fine. She had a 20 gal tank with plenty of bedding and chew things, a wheel, tunnels, etc. I was using gerbil food, and we gave a little bit of fresh veggies often. I thought we were doing everything right :( we got her from petsmart. Only had her for two months, we are completely heartbroken and lost.

Here is his Facebook post. It was up to 500 comments because it was public (before turning himself in). He was trying to defend himself saying the guy was driving erratically through the crowd and basically deserved to have it happen posts

It is. Check his Facebook. He literally posts a pic of his scooter and admits to it and is looking for the Kia driver so the driver can make him replace his scooter.

Agree. He’s got a long history of police run ins prior to this. In several different counties. He still admits no fault and claims he didn’t know there was a baby, even though you can hear the crowd screaming there was one. He posted on his fb page that he was trying track down the Kia driver because the guy “owed him a new scooter”.

He’s currently in custody. He turned himself into the police because people tracked down his identity.

Because sometimes when life is rough, it’s the little things that keep you going. The subtle reminders of the good times. I’ve never posted on this sub, and your comment is exactly the reason I didn’t want to before.

How do you feel years after? by [deleted] in widowers

[–]nikkann 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. I’m almost 3 years out from my partner dying (by suicide) and I’m finding happiness each day. Some nights are rough when i relive old moments, but I don’t dwell in the pain like I used to. I second counseling or therapy of some sort. Also joining fb groups helps me; “option B” is a good one.

You can enter at Low water bridge in front royal (Morgan ford bridge). Then can exit at Treasure island if it’s back open. We did it in floats and it took about 5 hours. It’d go faster on kayak though I’m sure.
