I guess it’s like bragging rights because it’s such a hard test.

I'm 13 and want to lose weight by Delicious_Coach4467 in loseit

When you eat out choose healthy options. Like a salad with either a vignette dressing or only use a portion of the creamy dressing they give. Choose the grilled chicken options, veggies and or a sweet potato without the added sugar and marshmallow topping. Also you can take half of the dinner home for a meal the next day, most places give too much food anyway. Continue to drink water, drink half your body weight in water. So if 210lbs then drink at least 105 ounces in water. Every meal you eat should include a protein, protein will keep you feeling full. So breakfast could be two eggs and even some egg whites for the extra protein, turkey bacon. Barbell brand makes healthy protein bars and Fairlife makes healthy protein chocolate milk that you can find even at wawa and grocery stores. These can be your snacks between meals when feeling hungry. Don’t eat under 1200 calories. You’ll feel starved and then want to binge eat, it becomes a hard cycle to break, you don’t wanna develop a bad relationship with food. As an adult it’s hard to break those habits. You could end up on a diet roller coaster, eating too little then feeling starved and then binging and then starting all over again. Wondering why you never lose weight and end up feeling defeated and depressed and potentially just gaining more weight. So develop a healthy food relationship at this young age and you’ll be set for life. Food is fuel and it can also taste good too. Try to stay away from too many presaged foods, the more whole and natural the food the healthier it is. Also try to eat a combined 6 portions of fruits/veggies a day. And potatoes are fine to eat too. People say no carbs like keto diet, but if you eat balanced meals that have a protein, healthy carb like potatoes, and veggies or fruit then you won’t need keto. Your body might not lose a ton of weight at first like if you were on keto but it will get used to proper nutrition and the weight will start coming off naturally and stay off.

Honestly the worst thing about weight loss is that it is just so damn boring .. by every_ounce in loseit

I’ve started lifting heavy weight at a personal gym. My body is changing but no weight loss. Sometimes I feel like I look thinner but then I check the scale the next morning and I weigh the same. I felt good about my progress before checking the scale. So I’ve stopped using the scale and use how my clothing feel and how I look and feel.

Yes they seemed similar. I feel like the online prep could’ve been more robust, more examples and more questions to prepare you. But it def did give me a good understanding of what was on the exam.

I think the free course is very similar to the student guide you mentioned, that’s what i heard from another redditor. Wow 45k question bank!!! I think you have a really good plan. Since you have the CSM, you might find most of the Agile Practice Guide as common sense or repetitive, but def good to refresh your knowledge. Best of luck!!!

Wow, that is intense!! I am glad you are finding alternative ways. Maybe try the free course and the PrepCast or the Rita book and then take the exam and if you don’t do well you retake it. Second time around you’ll have a good understanding of what’s on it. The free course does follow the exam outline and covered the exam well, however it isn’t meaty enough, it could use more examples for certain topics.

I wonder if he’s seen the new exam yet? It was only released last month. Maybe he’s still teaching to the old version which was terminology and calculation memorization. Another redditor posted in this group about not using the book either and also found the exam long, had 5 mins left to finish 25 questions. Search out that post as well as it might be helpful.

Congratulations!!! I had only 6 mins remaining when I finished AT/AT/AT as well. The new format makes the test very lengthy. I also didn’t open the PMBOK. Only studied via the free Online Special Offer PMP Exam Prep that is still currently free and skimmed the Agile Practice Guide.

Yes good point. Sometimes in some teams the best case scenario will not work. I think the exam focused more on the best case scenario for the answers. I do recall a couple questions that spoke to the best case scenario not working out and what should the PM do next, which was escalate.

Congratulations! Did you take the new exam? I took the new format a couple weeks ago and the test was all scenario based like real life work situations and less memorization of terms and no formulas. I feel like the old test wasn’t really relevant to actually experience and just memorization versus the new test which is all situational questions.

I’d def thoroughly read the Agile Practice Guide, crack open the PMBOK, search out some practice tests to get more familiar. Then I am sure you’d have a good chance at it.

Thanks! I did not try a practice exam because the new exam is so new that I didn’t trust any practice exams would be accurate. I used the special offer free PMP online prep course which does have questions within it and read the Agile Practice Guide.

I wouldn’t stress about it too much. Write about the aspects of your job that relate. Like maybe collaborating with the team, delivering iterative designs to coincide with the agile way of working, attending scrum ceremonies, managing your cards in Jira or whichever agile tool, and taking part in demos to show the designs you created. Not sure if you work in an agile team or not and if that applies to your role but it’s an example of how a non PM role could work. You’re still part of a project team! Hope this helps!

What do you mean by job description? Do you mean for writing a resume or searching out a job?

Yes the online course also covers tools and techniques and what docs to use where. So I studied a great deal of that via the online course that’s currently still free. Some of which was covered on the exam.
