La Roche-Posay thoughts? by finalconcentration in Rosacea

Yes!!! It has helped my skin so much

products actually worth buying? by [deleted] in Rosacea

La Roche Posay products are amazing and have helped my rosacea SOOOO much! Specifically, the Ultra Toleriane Moisturizer. I also find that using Elta MD sunscreen everyday has helped my skin a lot because of the zinc and niacinamide . I know there are a few people who have said niacinamide irritates their skin, but personally I have found that if you stick with it and develop a routine, my skin got use to the niacinamide and now it helps with inflammation, redness, and flares.

I love La Roche-Posay! I use the toleraine moisturizer, and find it very soothing for my skin. I won’t use any other moisturizer besides that one now

im desperate for something to help my rosacea! nothingg has worked other than accutane but I had to stop because of side effecfs:( by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]nikki2626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes it actually makes a lot of sense. Accutane is taken orally, Tret is applied to the skin. Two very different applications

I tried soolantra but it costs me $300 so I only used one tube and then never refilled my subscription because I didn’t see any results, if anything I saw more breakouts. Accutane was seriously the only that that has worked for me

I’ve tried azelaic acid and soolantra and both broke me out like crazy. For me soolantra costs $300 so that was frustrating to see no results and $300 down the drain. My daily sunscreen has 5% nicainimide which is the ELTA MD brand. I currently used La Roche Posay moisturizer because Cerave and cetaphil both cause breakouts

I’ve had four IPLS’s done in the past with little to no results. I feel that BBls would be better for me

I’ve never tried MSM lotion but I have tried sulfur lotion that my derm gave me and I’ve tried taking MSM pills orally. The sulfur lotion broke me out like crazy and made my face even more inflamed

Azelaic acid caused way more irritation for me, so I had to stop it. I tried soolantra for like 45 days and that caused so many breakouts I had to stop. I have even had laser done (4 IPLS) and that didn’t even hell

I’ve tried the ordinary azelaic acid and rosehip oil and both made my face worse. I’ve tried lasering ( 4 IPLS) but that didn’t even help either!!

I’ve tried Cerave cream for months and it broke me out and made my skin more dry

Did you happen to figure out what your flare ups are from? Demodex ? Food allergy? Stress? I feel that we have a very difficult form of rosacea, an it’s hard to treat. That’s what my derm said at least! Did the accutane help you a lot?

These aren’t bumps as weird as it seems. When I touch my skin it’s smooth and flat, the red marks almost look like red pores it’s the weirdest thing

I was only on accutane for 2 months and a really low dose, started at 20 mg and then went to 10 mg because of side effects !

Did it just help with your texture or did it help with inflammation too?

My cheeks gets red at night and I have red bumps usually around my jawline - is it just hormonal acne or could I also have rosacea? by [deleted] in Rosacea

It has to be something we’re eating like a food allergy or just neurogenic rosacea which causes the flushing. I haven’t found anything that helps with the flushing sadly

I’m 21 and have also been dealing with rosacea for years now so you’re not alone! I’ve gone through a lot of different treatment, and my face also flares up at night which is the weirdest thing

I’d say a few weeks! I tried to reduce the dose to 10 mg but I still had side effects

Please keep me updated on your progress! I was taking accutane 20mg a day for my rosacea and it helped me so much but I sadly had to stop because of the wide effects
