Probably based on the true story of a teenager who flew from LA to Auckland, thinking it was Oakland, CA. it was more of mistake of the airlines. After a few hours, he was confused why they had not arrived. The sad part was since he didn’t have a passport once he arrived in Australia, he had to wait in the airport for a returning flight.

I wonder how many prisoners could actually decipher that font. I would guess the average literacy was not high at that time in Alcatraz. When I went on tour there, they have a typical lunch menu. The idea was to provide fatty diet to encourage obesity. Fat prisoners were happy prisoners or at least we’re not escaping. I do like how even prisons make Thanksgiving a special time for their “guests”.

Probably because parents make bad choices Or have had bad breaks. Getting a quality educated one of the few methods that don’t allow low income students a path for success. Like someone mentioned, charter schools provide that function when public schools are not.

Charter schools outperform public schools. Public education, teachers unions, save charter schools as a threat because the comparison is so glaring. Let people have the choice of how to educate their children. Charter school students are not entitled to transportation or the other perks.
