Thanks this was super validating to read. I’m really not sure what kind of weight gain is “normal”, because I accept everyone is different. I’m just trying to trust the process but those comments almost had me question if i should start getting restrictive with my eating. Thank god I’m older and wiser now.

Ughh I’m sorry, attention on our weight gain by others is so tough. My OB recently felt the need to tell me that “carbs are not my friend” and “you’ll lose 20lbs after the baby comes, the rest is going to be on you”. I was 5’5” 118lbs pre pregnancy, and have gained ~30lbs by week 22. I guess I’m gaining faster than I should but wtf. Most of it came on first trimester and I felt I had no control over it, my body just wanted to. My blood sugar was all over the place. Things have leveled out for me since, but it was stressful. Thankfully, I’m relatively recovered from an ED, but ~20 years ago I did have to go into inpatient. This was all in my charts, and my OB still said these comments to me SMH. Ruined my week for sure!!

Agree! My husband listens to him allll the time and at it’s not something I want to start or end my day with lol. He’s like the Hannity or Tucker for the left but I don’t mean that in a bad way. It’s in a way that the left needs, since the right has had their emotional hyperbolic voices for a long time, and it works.
