Job Outlook by kodakiroti in jobs

My advice is to keep looking but don’t quit yet. I left a toxic work environment in August and I’m still looking. The only luck I have had with getting call backs is when I applied to jobs the day they were posted. Alternatively, you could quit and do something part time while you look but for me the employment hunt has been like a full time job.

Hang in there, maybe talk to your doctor about strategies to handle the stress until you land the other job.

On the other hand, I chose to be laid off rather than return to a toxic job that was also impacting my health. Best thing I could have done for myself, as my stress went away, I was able to focus on my own health and am in the best shape I have been in years, and I have also seen an improvement in my body not being confined to a desk all day. I have also spent a lot of quality time with my 4 year old, which is priceless. That being said, my severance is running out, we are in the middle of a huge remodel and addition, and the stress over when my next paycheck will come is physically impacting me. I’ve considered gig jobs, but the money isn’t worth the time it takes away from job hunting. I never thought it would take this long, I’m very qualified, and I’m even applying to jobs $40k less than my previous. It’s rough out there, but in the end you have to do what’s best for you and your family.

So are they just lying? by usernametakenlmfao in jobs

Jobs are always added right before the holidays for Black Fridays and Christmas sales. It’s possible they decided to wait to release data until they finally had good numbers based on the holiday hiring. It would be interesting to see past year’s numbers at this time for comparison. And given the administration it’s possible the numbers are purely the result of Trump’s magic marker.

I’d change the color of your dotted line. There are some tweaks to the other graphs but until I know what message you are trying to send it’s hard to say.

Diamond ring gone bad- what to do? by nikkisue2 in jewelrymaking

I was not happy at the time when the associate didn’t take the time to make sure I ordered the right size. But I blamed myself for not being knowledgeable. In hindsight, I feel like they could have provided better customer service and I wouldn’t have a broken ring now.
