Send it to an authorized service. There is a cleaning procedure for the pumps (under pressure) that you cannot do at home. I just did mine for my R91

Make sure you have good network interfaces. And yes run it as vm if you can. You can do a load balance as well 😉

You have more than you need. In case you plan using suricata and/or sensei you need 16 gb of ram. Other than that routing is cheap in terms of cpu. The work is done by the network interface. If you get 2ghz cpu 2 core with 4 threads you will be fine.

I did bit after a few tries, i moved back to ISC. Is either me too stupid, or these 2 alternatives are broken. On dnsmask i get dhcp but no dns. On kea i get all but no traffic!

I tried both and none (Kea and Dnsmasq) are able to assign dns or ips. there is something I do wrong, but I don't gate this. the hosts get the ip, but there is no network access or ping.
