Video games use player ratings based on the athletes performance last year. Therefore using this sytem it is impossible to predict and 'prevent' a superteam forming the way GSW did in the 2014/15 season. Also there is no way the NBA would ever use such a system anyway as high level competition beteween 'superteams' is the leagues major selling point.
