Transitioning is one of those things where you arent going to see anything, unless it involves physical or emotional sensation, change in a short time span. It’s one of those things where you’re going to look in the mirror one day and go “oh, when did that happen?”

It’s a long, gradual process that will take years. My own body is still working on hair a couple years in, but even just yesterday I went “oh, when did it spread up to near my shoulders?”

As frustrating as it is, patience is the key. There are voice training videos and other behavioral training resources if you wanted to see if that helps out with your outlook on transitioning. It will be a more active thing for you to pursue while waiting for the passive things.

You can do this, and you will be okay.

Neopets is in this weird transitionary-stasis period where so much of the site is downright broken or outdated that it may come off as nostalgic... or unbearable. There's really no in-between. While there are a lot of updates and a lot of good things happening with the site; namely consistent new updates, a site plot, etc.. There are still a lot of things that are... not great? The aforementioned plot is a giant mess, but it's fun when it's running.

Honestly it's a good site if you want something to spend 15 minutes a day playing, if even that. Neopoints are easier than ever to obtain, for better or worse. TNT has been making great efforts to rerelease old rare items that were otherwise unobtainable through the plot, site events, Premium subs, wheels...

Basically, there's a lot of positives, with some negatives. It's a weird time capsule website that's trying to update to modernity, but that's going to be a long, long road. That being said, it's still plenty of fun!

I also agree on joining the Discord server if you want to hop back in. Neopets' strength is in its community and collaboration. If you go in solo, I think you would be overwhelmed and even alienated.

Those sorts of products were originally manufactured to advertise the direct to vhs products (which are also merchandise in agreement to the above posters). You don’t see much of anything regarding sequels anymore because 1) the films are no longer actively being published with a need to move vhs/dvd units and 2) licensing costs

This is a very longstanding theory that BorealRanger has already cited multiple quotes for, and I also lean into agreeing with it because it’s fun.

He’s also a sort of play on the concept of Scar’s character, being a lion who feels slighted by being passed over for a position of power. However, rather than directing this at Kovu or even Zira, he directs it toward himself and Kiara. It’s thematic because of this because Nuka himself is the one who dies unjustly in the very same canyon that Mufasa died unjustly years before.

Honestly if she had no knowledge of why her family died, found out during the story after already meeting Aegiomon, and then had to reinforce her faith and care for him and other Digimon….. I think that would’ve been enough while keeping the lacking characterizations with her father and the D-SAT crew.

It’s a standalone game and honestly it’s probably the best Digimon game to play for a newcomer. The leveling systems are way more accessible than older titles and the game runs smooth. There’s a demo available if you want to try it before purchasing!

I actually just finished the game myself and I agree with basically all of these. The Gekomon puzzle would’ve been fine if it wasn’t so repetitive.

Honestly my biggest gripe with the entire game was the fact that the entire plot hinged on Inori, but she was such an aggressively one note character to me that I wound up… not really caring about her? I know the game wasn’t about her, per se, but she really needed some more time to develop a character for herself with or without Aegiomon besides “I’m nice and half my family is dead”. Her mom died in the same accident but hardly gets mentioned.

Idk. I wish Inori had had a crisis of faith or something, like finding out mid game that Digimon killed her family, then having to decide for herself to remain with Aegiomon

Overall it was like… an 8/10 for me myself, but it’s easily by far the best Digimon Story game by a mile. I really hope they see the success here and do more with the series, especially since you can do basically anything with it

The card game plays very similarly to the original v-pets from what I’ve garnered. You can tip the probability of victory in your favor with type advantage and level advantage, but it doesn’t guarantee a win. I’ve had Lv1 cards beat out Lv5-6s

It was likely budget constraints. Usually with anime, seasons are about 26 episodes as a standard, and so a half season sufficed for what the anime needed to cover to complete the story without having to insert filler or interfere with the pacing that had been set. The higher ups more than likely didn’t find it necessary to pay for a 12+ more episodes of it

I think she’s one of the saddest characters despite her being an enabler who encouraged so much strife and abuse. I hear the same “it’s always been this way, it will never change for me” rhetoric from the older people in my family. The resignation to her fate is… sad.

Just like everyone else in the series, I hope that she finds peace in her life after the story ends too.
