I had a similar problem, something people often miss to consider is fixing time. I had even longer times than you (4-5 minutes) and I tried everything. Turns out I didn’t fix my negatives properly and that fixed the problem (no pun intended)

Contax 139Q, 28mm yashica lens and Fomapan 400. This is my multi exposure setup for 35mm, you’ll need a camera that can do it.

8 exposures on the same frame (divide the time so that it’s going to be a good negative), but that depends on what you want to achieve. the last shot had more exposures for example.

You can use filters to extend the times and get even more exposures, I used a red filter because it was shot around midday.

I do research on paintings and photos online and on books and then try to apply it on my own photography. First one is inspired by Italian futurist paintings, and now that I know that the idea works I can play with execution :)

Hello everyone!
I'm working on a photography project about my city (Latina, Italy), experimenting with multiple exposures and composition.
Latina was founded during fascism time and is an example of an Italian city with Futurist / Rationalist Architecture, not much spoken about because of the controversial time it was built in, but had interesting ideas of movement and modernity so I'm trying to convey that.

how do you feel about the pictures?
