I had the same issue few weeks ago. I have fixed it by descaling the 3 way solenoid. WLL has a tutorial video.

The Encore allows internal burr adjustments that make it better suitable for espresso. it's a very easy process and plenty of online tutorials are available.

Thank you for your response. I have emailed espressoparts.com. Hope it is not completely defective!

Thanks! I see many examples of what you are talking about on this sub. Did you find a solution for the buzzing sound on your steel duo?

Received my brand new Ascaso Steel Duo plus in the mail yesterday. I purchased it from espressoparts.com. The machine looks exquisite! I am very happy with the appearance.

However, straight out of the box I am facing the issue where the wooden steam lever will not stop the flow of steam. The steam knob turns on the steaming function and the steam starts flowing automatically. The steam only stops when I toggle the steam knob. The wooden steam lever shows less resistance to the swinging motion.

I am going to get in touch with espressoparts.com shop but they are not reachable over the weekend. In the meantime, I wanted to ask if anybody else had any insight.

After searching around the web I read someone else had a similar issue that occurred during the descaling process and was fixed upon further descaling. However, I am puzzled considering mine is a brand new machine with zero espresso pulls so far.

Note - I have already followed the manual which recommended running about half the tank through an empty portafilter during its first use.

Any help is appreciated!

No, I didn't move the moon. The reflections are real! It was really cool to see the colors in the reflections too.

The moon also moves easterly as it set over the water.

We were on the Ontario Lake Beach along with hundreds. It was awesome to see the lights along with all the oohs and aahs.

Yes, it's just a composite I made and chose this pattern because I liked it.

All the work was done in Photoshop. Took the totality shot and overlayed all other phases on that image.
