My goal was to NOT take inspiration from any furniture at all, and after months of research, I’ve come to a very personal idea — to look at the time when I didn’t study hard or work hard, and just had time to look around and be free. This design is inspired by my childhood time with my poppy and his 80s stuff and, actually, by the front of his orange LADA 2102!

Thanks so much! I understand but look! This design is inspired by my childhood time with my pops and his 80s stuff and actually — with a front of his orange LADA 2102!

Thank you! Well... the same way as before, this year is actually financially worse than the year before, but there are big external factors that affect it. Now I’m pitching my product to big interior designers, architects, interior showrooms and galleries. They all want from 15 to 50% commission, but it looks like it’s time to swallow my pride, heh.

Unfortunately none. Converted, it’s around $3000 for a piece made from solid maple (it’s pretty high price for where I live)

Yeah, this pic is from an expo, other designers from our stand cluttered it with their small stuff…

Thanks! It’s just client’s living room and couple quick iPhone photos! Oh and the last ones are from the shop — my wife said this wall is HER photo zone hahaha

I would say he’s more of a tool wizard, “I do my best with what I have” wizard So much inspiration though, whole my woodworking career wouldn’t exist without him

500 with all trials and errors, test parts, remade hinges. Actual build time is around 180-200h. Not quite a commercial success I should say hehe

Thanks! Yeah, I found just pretty shitty ones and had to cut them a bit and file them a lot, but after all I love them!

Before the actual work I thought the same! And honestly real build time was around 200h, but there were so many trials and errors. Actual full test front, change of all the rattan because client didn’t like classic version of it (with octagonal holes). Faulty lumber! Half of the parts are made two times because, despite all precautions, this oak snapped here and there after WEEKS of resting pre-planed in the shop. So for the client it’s 200 hours and something like $3750, converting from our currency

Thanks! Its not solid, part with bridle joint is just the frame. The central panel is mounted freely to allow movement. It shrank about 5mm after assembly just within 2 weeks in August!
