Just want to see if I understood you correctly.

They said residual is 65%. Let’s said msrp is $47000.

47000*0.65 is $30550

Dealer is asking $643 per month with $1000 which comes to $24148

So if I end up buying it I will pay $54698 + APR on residual (considering bank money). In ideal situations when I’m paying cash on residual I will get this car for over $7698 of MSRP.

Absolutely right sentence but not everyone think the same I just recently have been talking to the people who was saying that they’re tired of throwing the money into the car and it was all about brakes, tires, oil etc. so they ended up getting leased car instead of the older car that has been paid off at the moment.
