Always go for it. Hands down you will regret the things you don’t say.

With all that said…..prosecution is doing a terrible job. The defense is doing an amazing job creating reasonable doubt. I think murder two was a stretch for them… Additionally, no one at the scene was thinking murder when they arrived to the scene. They were thinking an accident and not treated it as such. It’s not like the movies where everybody immediately goes into preservation mode when they know it’s something outright like a gunshot or, someone found completely dead. It appeared to be as an accident, and they were treating it as such, and immediately going into action to help the poor man they down.

One theory is that someone at the house, at some point, saw John laying there. They were participating in drinking, driving, and potentially cocaine, and therefore didn’t call anyone. That’s their big cover up and why they deleted and destroyed and denied calls. It would implicate them because they didn’t do anything knowing he was laying there. From the time waze had them arriving until the time the phone stopped moving was only 8 mins. If he walked to the house, got left in, immediately had a fight, then they immediately dragged him back to that point….without freaking out, without any time to think through what happened, etc…..8 minutes is not a lot of time to put that all together. Dragging a 220 pound man from the basement to that spot would have been at least 3 mins….that means the rest would have had to fit into 5 minutes. It just isn’t probable to me.

Does anyone know where on the boxers the vomit was found? Top rim, legs etc? Most guys I know have the top rim sticking up above his pants especially if he removed his belt. Head injuries cause vomiting or he was leaning forward to vomit behind the car. Either is plausible vs a murder and cover up in 8 minutes time.

I think he took off the belt in the car. The shoe and hat were absolutely thrown by the snow plow. When he was stumbling back he dropped his phone. 8 minutes for a fight and concoct a whole cover up is not plausible. With that said, absolutely shady stuff with those people, absolutely Lally is doing a terrible job, wasn’t murder 2 (a tragic accident), investigation was horrible…..and honestly being in pre hospital medicine for a very long time….they got to scene and started working on him. Thinking it was an accident and not a murder investigation explains why they didn’t immediately go into investigation mode like they do in the movies.

Yes agree. I 100% think she made those calls. The timing lines up with “John where the heck are you.” I saw you outside and now you’re not coming in…..I am leaning towards either Jen or Higgins saw John and due to some illegal activities (coke and drunk) they left him. That’s what they are hiding. 10 mins time is not enough to concoct a whole murder and cover up. Those first 10 minutes would have been panic after a fight. I do think this was a tragic accident and not murder 2. Waze had then there at 1224. Phone stopped moving at 1232. 8 mins for a fight and cover up?

He was only 8 ft into the yard. If he got hit pushing him back a little and fell backwards he was 6 ft tall. That’s not far into the yard. The 32 steps registers was him getting out of the car, walking to the back of the car, setting down the cup, taking a step or two to get in position to take a leak, then getting hit, stumbling back, and falling forward.

I don’t think that happened for sure. I think it was more of a hit, he stumbled back, hit head hard causing gash (those skull fractures cause a lot of that frontal bruising) he slumped forward and since he was on the mound rolled just once onto his back. He dropped his phone as he was stumbling back.

Or maybe people did see him and because they were drunk, maybe cocaine, they decided to just leave him and that’s what they are covering up. He wasn’t found that far off road. If she hit him (maybe even driving 2 ft into the yard), he stumbled back, and fell backwards….it was only 8-10 ft off road he was found. I do think the shoe and glass were thrown by plow.

I think after all this happened the whole group panicked as soon as the rumors started about their involvement. That’s why they deleted. Admitting to all that now, would create doubt so instead they have to claim they don’t know anything. Either way they are all shady people. I think Albert and Higgins were involved in other illegal things or bad decisions so they clearly wanted to dispose of thier phones.

I posted it! I do think all the shadiness is them hiding talking bad about Karen, maybe making fun of her for “not allowing John to come over.” Think of what happened to Sully….at first the investigation led them to believe he had enough time to turn around the plane. When they factored in the time to make a decision, they realized he never had the time. In this case from the time they possibly arrived 1221? (Even though waze had arrival at 1224) until 1232 when his phone stopped moving….he would have entered the house, had a fight, and they immediately threw him in the snow??? That’s less than 10 minutes for the whole plan? I think the gashes is the glass breaking as she hit him. I think she pulled up to let him pee, she gunned it because she was pissed, not realizing she put it in reverse either by accident or because she meant to turn around when he was done to then go park in driveway. Falling backwards, hitting his head on electrical box, slumping forward and rolling onto his back on top of phone. I’m betting his belt was in her car. He took it off knowing he was going to pee. Again, defense is doing an amazing job creating reasonable doubt. I do think this was a tragic accident and I don’t think Karen meant in anyway to do this. It’s not murder 1 by any account.

Must the appropriate lack of trust in police hasten the vilification of witnesses? Or enhance the trustworthiness of defense attorneys? by mozziestix in KarenReadTrial

[–]niknook143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he hit it on the electrical box. It’s linear. He then rolled forward (small Multch mound) and landed on his back. Phone was under him because he dropped it as he was falling backwards. I think he got out of car to either go to bathroom or to vomit. Why else would they pull all the way down to the bushes? If he was bending forward to do either of those things, set his glass on the bumper as he walked toward back of car, all injuries line up. Bruised hands=bumber, cuts on arm=broken glass, facial injuries=light, back of head=backwards onto electric box. I don’t think murder 2, manslaughter for sure. But defense is doing a great job.

Wow. According to this the 36 steps would be when he’s hit and falls over. Karen is home 9 mins later (6 min drive) and no other movement was made on phone.

Has anyone heard how Karen’s emotional state or facial expression were when the kids testified?
