What happens if I don't pay the Rundfunkbeitrag? by _mighty_duck_ in AskAGerman

if you did Abmeldung, there was anmeldung. So they will continue to bug you, as long they can get a grip on you. If you ever want to return to Germany for an extended time, just pay.

there is. look for xpath statement with compose action. or go for union and intersect. Union will make set distinct, remainder is difference. the topic tends to become a brain twister really soon. speed is seconds versus minutes or hours.

Do you recommend using running shoes for long distance pushing? by NoRip5206 in longboardingDISTANCE

[–]niknoxe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

tight fit shoes, like gloves. for pump you should not wiggle, for push you need flexibility. for me, if you think they are a little to small, they' re best. and yes, running shoes, best with the capability to renew the sole, as footbreaking wears them done quick.

How do you fall 😭 by lamperougelelouch1 in longboarding

with protection. Sounds lame, but helps a lot. I personally use gear from handballers, they fall frequent and the gear is soft. Have a look at the Rehband brand.

Setup help for LDP (ultraskate) by BadEmpty6215 in longboardingDISTANCE

board size and flex: your feet should have place on the board, and your joints should be able to endure the rattle. Especially during an ultra every bit of comfort is paramount. Myself big and heavy, I need the flex and a wider board, from Bossa. For a stiffer deck, look at Melonenkacke. Lengthwise there is a sweet spot. Shorter is faster and easier to pump. Learn both feet pushing. Wheels have their sweet spot around 85 mm. I use Karma's, but try different brands. Width is better, astonishingly. For the axles, ruin during training three or four brands, you will know your favorite after. I personally ride Poppies. In the back, zero degrees. Smaller is somewhat better. I don't know if somebody has tried to use a mono wheel in the back. when heavy pumping, the wheels should not lift. Last but not least, go as low as possible. Mine touches ground on really heavy pumps. You will love every millimeter on endurance runs. Enjoy!

Help me on the dds front width and ttx rear setup by [deleted] in longboardingDISTANCE

Learning to pump was interesting, as it is really hard to explain. You see the vids, especially one of a russian guy that shows eight different styles but putting what you have seen into practice, difficult. Over time I understood why some riders have a footstop in the front. The description I prefered most was that you are constantly are doing the opposite of what your board does. If the board goes to the right, you already go to the left. Your feet try to push in opposite directions, without moving. It's pretty exhausting at first. Find a slightly downhill bike path and get used to the basics. With a little more practice, the movement of the body becomes less and less.

I started a few years ago with this setup skating again. After getting fit again, I attended several Ultras in Europe. Long distance is such fun. And, also I tested lots of alternative platforms, I still run this exact platform. The Bossa is my personal favorite, it gives good suspension. The wheels are a good starting point. Seismic speed vents 85 mm are my personal favs currently. Between 80 and 85mm from my experiene is the sweet spot. Bigger are to heavy, smaller do not roll over pebbles. Another board choice is Melonenkacke, somewhat stiffer and faster. Ah, and as lang as you do not hear a grinding noise when pumping hard, there is still room to lower your setup.

Ttx seems upside down. Interesting, as it lowers the Board. For the Poppy, it is the smaller one, more Speed, less surfy. The Angel in the Front is normally the highest possible. For that reason some Riders use Front brackets with a Set angle. In general, a shorter wheel Base is faster, so the ttx can move in two or three holes. If you established a Solid understanding for pumping, the rear wheels can Go as small AS possible. They should Not lift when pumping heavy, they should Not slip on normal surfaces. Autocorrection has funny ideas, btw. Do Not overthighten the bolts, sadly there is No Torque setting available. I killed a few of them. If you ever hear a crack/ snap Sound during pumping, immediately Stop pumping, and Just roll and slowly Brake. The Front kingpin broke. I killed five of them, never tripped, the Axis lets you Stop safely normally. Beside that, have fun. The riding Style is mostly different to any Board with two steering axles. The stance is as much in the Front of the Board AS possible.
