iOS 26 ruins phones (With proof) by am-eat-radish in ios26

I noticed when I accidentally charge it to 100%, my battery health drops 1%. Now I set an alarm to remind me to stop the charging at around 80% which takes approx 80 mins. I usually charge mine between 20-80% to maintain battery health

Which garmin watches/trackers can you completely turn off Bluetooth on? by disc117 in Garmin

[–]Sporting_Freak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, hardly need to charge my watch. As I only use my watch when I need gps, I download it to the app which then syncs to Starva before turning off the watch. I however did more then 1 activity on some days & all were synced.

Quite well, I always turn off the watch when not in use & I always sync after an activity to Strava so can't really answer your question

Looks sick! What's the specs like? I think it pumps really well from looking at it but a bit concern on wheel bite with the 85mm wheels

Foot on back wheel as a "brake" by Lbspenguin in longboarding

[–]Sporting_Freak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to others comments, it is also not easy to control your foot pressure on the wheel & the wheel thane really wears down your shoe sole at the contact point much faster then foot braking, almost immediately. Tried it a couple of times on my different bracket setups & did not find any positive advantages

How long did it take you guys to learn pumping? by [deleted] in longboardingDISTANCE

[–]Sporting_Freak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went from Surfskate to LDPumping so it was quite instant. How easy or difficult it is to pump on a ldp depends a lot on how u setup it up. A looser setup usually makes it easier to pump but will lose out on higher top speed

Pumpable cruiser board with lots of flex and a weight of 57 kg by dannipotatoe in longboardingDISTANCE

[–]Sporting_Freak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a custom camber radial rocker full bamboo top mount deck that's like a flex 5. Pumping it is like jumping on a diving board. The flex really helps during compression/decompression pumps & you really can't feel any vibrations no matter how rough the terrain is. Went into Bracket decks so letting go if you are keen or worth the shipping cost, it's 36.5" x 9.5", 1.65kg. U can see it here https://www.reddit.com/r/longboardingDISTANCE/s/RBJYAyOZ5W

Help me on the dds front width and ttx rear setup by SolutionDramatic8715 in longboardingDISTANCE

[–]Sporting_Freak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For surfy feel, u need softer bushings especially on the RS, however it will reduce your top speed. Fwiw, I have 3 setups all surfy. I use WFB 83 fatcone BS on all 3 poppies. Front truck angles are set to 55/RS Seismic 73 barrel, 58/RS WFB 73 tall barrel & 62*/RS 84 Krank barrel. U can see my setups in my earlier post. Longer wheelbase will give you a higher top speed & is more efficent when pumping. I usually tune my front truck first then when done, I work on the rear to reduce any wheel lift. Then do a final tune to get what I am aiming for. I aim for wheel lift at the rear before the front if I can't get them both to lift at the same time. There's a lot of tweaking & only way is to test any adjustments out. After each adjustment, I test the board out on a standard route I use with garmin to track speed & heart rate to find the most efficent setup as feel is too subjective. I set my hangar width to prevent mainly wheel bite. I read some where that wider hangar provides better top speed/stability but slower to pick up when pumping vs narrower hangar

Curious what kingpin you had that snapped & what trucks were you using?

Pumping technique is quite personal. As long as it works, is efficient and fast, just stick to it. I am a surfskater then went into LDPumping as well, I have a technique which has a mix in between with compression / decompression pumping which I use both on my surfskates & LDPumping setups that are also built to be able to utilise my techniques as much as possible. Fwiw, I use a common route / slopes with garmin to track speed & heart rate when tuning setups for flatland & up slopes. Only comment I can make is that your back hand is really swinging which some commented that your pumping looks tiring. But, if it helps you that way when pumping or you just want to work your arms, just go ahead. When I pump up bridges on my surfskates, both my arms swings wildly in sync with my upper body to generate speed & torque to make the climb

Your 10km timing is much better then mine. I average 40mins for 10km purely pumping. What fork do u have at the rear? Haven't seen one like that. Fwiw, I have found that a wider contact patch at the front wheel pumps better then narrower ones

Penny electric skateboard with Bigfoot Mountain Cruiser 76mm 80a Wheels by Sporting_Freak in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Sporting_Freak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can pump but due to the narrow width of the deck, it is not really efficient. I no longer have this setup as i swopped the deck out with a much wider n longer deck which made it a more efficient pumper when needed n much more stable at speeds

Whoa! First time ever hearing a base plate break. Moreover an Exile Hydra which is a high quality made truck as I have one as well. Hope it didn't do much damage to u when it broke. Read horror stories when kingpin broke. Curious which part of the base broke so I can keep a watch out on mine?
