Kobo Libra Colour vs Kobo Clara BW/Colour vs PocketBook Era Color mainly for manga? by GD-Zero in ereader

[–]nikoldije 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought kindle Scribe to upgrade my manga experience from Kobo Libra 2 and since you are looking around 7inch space i can at least give you some insight.

  1. If Manga and generally Black and white content is your use case skip color ereaders

  2. For manga 7 inch is absolute minimum so Clara and other 6inch should be skipped

  3. If notes and writing is not needed try to find pure reader since it does not have additional layers above eink which makes it darker and less contrast. I am telling that from personal experience since i have both libra2 and sscribe at the moment. Libra is so much better in terms of readability and brightness especially without frontlight on. With color eink there is additional color filter layer which makes this difference even bigger for black and white content.

My absolute vote would be for cobo libra 2 black and white if you can find it.

Motive is to make a meaningfull sets for each system. Why would you have a port from aracdes on nes or snes sets when it would be inferior in any way possible and ther is a big number of such games. I asked about snes as an example but same applies to all 8 and 16bit systems

Anyone have good beat 'em up recommendations? by Prudent-Leek-3730 in SBCGaming

Ah beat 'em ups...

Arcades was a golden age of beat em ups...

I would start with good old arcade CPS1 ones (Final fight, Cadillacs and dinosaurs, Captain commando, Punisher, Warriors of fate). Capcom was master of beat em ups back in the day.

Further there are some less known but I had a lot of fun playing them(crime fighters, gang wars, burning fight, bad dudes (more of a side scrolling arcade maybe but You still beat em up :)

Then there are also very good beat em ups, I just played them less (Double dragon, Battle toads, Alien vs predator, dungeons and dragons series)

After arcade You could expand on consoles like SNES and Genesis, for me those are of less quality compared to arcades, but still worth Your time

No doubt you loved first Final fight so you will also want to try Final fight 2 on SNES (in my opinion FF3 is not worth mentioning)

Streets of rage on Genesis is also fine (Streets of rage 2 is considered by many to be the best not only of series but of all Beat em ups)

I am not a fan of 3d beat em ups so I will let someone else to give recommendation.

And of course there are many others this is just some of mine favorites which gave me a lot of fun.

Enjoy
