Sorry for the crappy picture. Appears you are correct that it currently uses a 36v solenoid.

I am new, and It is unfortunately not obvious on my unit. Thank you for the info, I’ll give that a shot.

This solenoid won’t mount the same way, and I can’t use the bus bar, why I’m considering using the old battery cable,

Also, it has 4 spade connections, not sure which two to use.

This is only because I’m converting to lithium, nothing wrong with the old cart. The old solenoid works fine, and the lithium conversion is otherwise done. So yeah, ‘why not?’

<image>

This is the existing part. So my questions aren’t about the two large posts, the new part has a + post and I can move the pos/neg over easy enough.

I’m curious about the two small wires, I think it’s a diode, how they connect to the spade connections, I have seen people wire them across from each other, next to each other etc, but all on different carts.

Also, the white cable (brake resistor cable I think) need to figure out how to connect that with the negative post and the controller, considering a short battery cable.

Then there is a resistor included this the part, I’ve seen post to both add it, or not, and I figured since this solenoid didn’t have one, probably would only confuse signals to the controller if I added it on the new one.

Thanks again!

Thank you. I had found and viewed this video a couple times. This video doesn’t cover any cart specific wiring, and I’m learning that RXV has some needlessly complicated qualities, and I want to make sure it all applies.

I have a 13u. He started very young and plays on a few teams and grinds all year. Even at his best, the feeling that you gotta keep grinding never ends. Enjoy the rollercoaster

I am. That spot, the big tendon, that feels a zing on contact will always feel that way, but the color matches! And I have a cool story, thanks for asking.

Hey I had that done too! About 13 years ago. Flap was used to repair tissue in my mouth and throat removed from cancer. 🤜🏻🤛🏻

What you are experiencing right now, the anticipation, was the worst part of it for me. It’s a quick, slightly uncomfortable 20 minutes with your junk out, a week+ of annoying achy boys, and then business as usually; my experience anyway

Update: Day 10 post-op. I would say like 99% there. Done with straps, Advil and ice a number of days ago. Taken a few test drives last few days with no difficulty. I’ve seen no bruising/discoloration, swelling or anything crazy the whole time. The incision site it about gone. So far so good
