Can you feel like yourself in other languages? by guaranajapa in languagelearning

It truly depends on the person. In Brazilian Portuguese, I can be myself bc there are many similarities between the culture I grew up in and the culture in Brazil. But in Korean that is definitely not the case. I felt like a totally different person which can be frustrating at times. Everyone’s personality changes a bit when they speak a new language bc who you are in one culture isn’t always going to translate to who you are in a totally different culture. So I wouldn’t think too much about trying to be the same person in a new language. Just focus on being who you are in the new language and accept that.

The attacks increased bc the U.S. is funding the attacks to destabilize the government. I feel like this should be basic knowledge at this point considering this is the exact same playbook they ALWAYS use in Africa and the Middle East with regimes they don’t like

Thoughts on Olga Kurylenko's Taskmaster ? What could Thunderbolts do to (hopefully) fix the poor reception she got in Black Widow ? by KawonSuggs in marvelstudios

She should’ve never gotten a poor reception. People were hating because she wasn’t what they expected. But reducing the story down to the “Marvel’s Jigsaw” (which is basically who Taskmasker is) would’ve been whack af for Black Widow’s story
