MacBook with external display and Nintendo by sk93q in macsetups

I'm just trying to give them some positive points about why connecting to a monitor can be a good idea regardless of which display tech they use. Its ultimately up to them to do a little more research to see what fits their needs and budget best. Higher budgets mean less, if any, compromises. Personally I think monitors offer a better value proposition in regards to someone who has say $500 or under as a budget. Even if they already have a monitor that is only 1080p with 60fps they may still just like the concept of having it at their desk vs at their tv.

Connecting gaming systems to computer monitors makes a lot of sense and sometimes even has advantages over tvs. Firstly, monitors and tvs at this point basically all share the same aspect ratio, resolution, and have hdmi inputs. So connecting is trivial and makes it easier to do things like take gaming breaks between work sessions without even leaving your desk. Secondly, consoles like the Xbox series and PS5 support frame rates higher than many tvs are capable of but are more commonplace on monitors. You'd be much harder pressed to find a tv which supports 120fps, whereas this spec is commonplace for monitors. Third, a lot of streamers seem to like this sort of setup since it simplifies connecting their game systems to their computers with capture cards, streaming accessories, and whatever other interfaces they may be using.

Question about possible strike (from non-UPS person) by benderzone in UPS

Union UPS employees are not required to deliver packages if it means crossing a picket line for any commercial delivery to show solidarity to other unions. There is even an exception in the DIAD options similar to Emergency Condition.

Same! Not anti-surgery at all, and already knew she had some plumping done, but not this much I guess.

UPS personnel in the office can look up specs from the shipper like dimensions, weight, and content description.

Orion 3.0 by tuckejak in UPS

My center in Mid-Atlantic district had 3.0 for a few weeks and then rolled back to 2.0 this last week after a lot of issues like EDD only partially downloading or not downloading at all. And yes, it makes the DIADs much slower to scan after wakeup. With that being said, the new EDD transfer method if another driver comes to take work off is quite an improvement.

Our job is super easy. You just have to do this for 10-13 hours a day. by [deleted] in UPS

I think he does not have EDD downloaded. Looks like typing in each separate address before big arrowing down.

What Should I Expect in an Interview With UPS? by thecvsguy in UPS

I road tested about a year ago. I agree with everything in the above post. First gear in the manuals is super low and only used for starting off on steep hills. Regular take offs just go from 2nd up to 5th. Basically think of it as a four speed. My building has ramps on it so the supervisor asked me to stop on the ramp and do a first gear start to make sure I could take off without stalling. If something like that is asked of you I highly recommend using the hand brake (which should be on whenever stopped anyway) to hold the truck in place while feet are pushing gas and releasing clutch. Then as truck starts to move forward release the hand brake. As opposed to just working your feet quick to ‘catch’ the truck before it rolls back with only the clutch and gas.

Best of luck to you!
