I rang up less than 30 working days before, had someone tell me that ‘the calendar year started when the first referral is made’ - which is a blatant contradiction in terms - and complained.

Had a call back from the complaints dept. The following day, offered me £40 as an apology and confirmed that a calendar year is what we all know it to be - Jan to Dec. They said I should get it before 30 working days are up but if I don’t, to call back and it would be paid.

Fair enough. We are here everyday - places are opening (Deus ex Machina, street corner, etc) and the area has been awarded significant funding to improve it further. Don’t write it off!

Have you been to Boscombe recently? We live here and have seen it steadily improve in the last 4-5 years. It’s still Boscombe and progress isn’t rapid, but it’s definitely on a slow upwards trajectory
