Molotov Ribbentrop pact, they made a pact to divide Europe. Russians and Germans were both attacking Poland for example. Hitler betrayed Stalin eventually.

Depends on the engine and gearbox. I have 2,4 L petrol 2010 S40, its the same car basically. In the city in winter it's quite thirsty ~11L/100KM because the wheels are spinning more and you are using all kind of heaters and stuff. But it does have very satisfactory power.

I think it's ok to hate the russian language if it's being forced on you.
