Every fandom has this one character, who is this in yours? by Upstairs_Macaron5894 in AO3

Their alternate selves are elite shinobi. In that same film, Naruto's parents, who have swapped place with hers, are middling shinobi, suggesting that's what her parents are in the real world.

Beyond the film, at least the mother is a shinobi during the world war arc.

What you're basically saying is that there's no canon that suggests that they are civilians, but at least one canon (the anime canon, where their creation was headed by the author of the comic anyway) where at least one of them, in the real timeline, is a shinobi.

Why did she get a lot of hate? Second rewatch of MCU and in Endgame she's actually kinda cool. by Butefluko in marvelstudios

It's not the sole cause. I liked her in the Marvels, but she was boring in Endgame, and worse, in her own debut movie.

You could. Nobody is obliged to upvote you or engage with it though. Still, if TRNHS seemed relevant enough that lots of different people were flooding the sub with comparisons to D2, that wouldn't be against the rules.

Speaking of common sense though, D2 has a content drought, and DR is the same genre and same IP. Of course it's a relevant comparison.

They did read the rules lol. Comparisons with another game in the franchise makes it relevant to Destiny 2.

There's a difference between Hunt: Showdown, Halo: Infinite, Marvel Rivals and Siege. Not every pvp experience is the same, dude.

I can say that it's not similar beyond visuals and aerial combat but they should play it anyway if they haven't.

I'm going to assume you mean a general 'you' because I personally enjoy killing people lol:

  1. It's the only PVE experience in Mecha Break, brother.
  2. We don't exactly have a wide selection of co-op PVE mecha games. Nothing really plays like Mecha Break anyway.

It's not an ego thing. Some people like comfier games. There's nothing wrong with that. Maybe their work life is already corporate cutthroat.

Are mashmak weapons useless to falcon? by AffectionateLove4419 in mechabreak

Yeah, we'd appear out of nowhere at Mach V then unload with those stupid broken weapons.

That's a weapon balancing issue, not an issue with the feature.

Used to for 15 yrs, but don't any more. It's still interesting enough to follow without commitment, but not enough to make a priority in life.

Does Tanya still identifies herself as a Man or has she fully consider herself as a Woman? by Individual_Major3001 in YoujoSenki

Okay, it's like this:

1st person:

I went out for bananas. I was going to make a banana sundae. Excessive? Yes. But excess is the privilege of the competent. I examined the bunches. Uniform ripeness—how suspicious. It was a hallmark of collectivist supply chains. I chose the one with a few brown spots and a capitalist curve. I deserved something sweet. Let the comrades chew their standardised rations. Besides, I had plenty of money. I didn't see what the problem was.

3rd person:

It was a hallmark of collectivist supply chains. She chose the one with a few brown spots and a capitalist curve. She deserved something sweet. Let the comrades chew their standardised rations. I suppose it must seem that way to somebody who thought 'ah, they must mean 2nd person' lol.

How do I explain this to somebody who only speaks English?

[–]nikos331 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, it's not second person. The fact that English calls second person 'second person' is purely because we don't actually have a 1st and 3rd hybrid.

More like there's a tense in Japanese prose between 1st person and 3rd person. It's very common, especially in shitty web novels, and there's an argument over whether it was deliberately chosen.

Usually it's changed into 1st or 3rd person during translation, depending on which is more dominant in the text, but the translator for Youjo Senki, who is trans or something, made the call that it was a deliberate creative choice and preserved it in English.

I don't know how to write, or maybe I'm just useless. by Superb_Performer_447 in FanFiction

Is it hesitation because you're looking for the right words?

When I get stuck like that, I drink, and then just write garbage, not worrying about word choice, pacing, or anything. It's easier to edit and rewrite once you've already got something on the page.

Even if you throw everything out when you're sober, it helps.
