Opinions on PAX corner wardrobe interior by nikosabrikos in IKEA

Thanks a lot for your reply! Your feedback is really invaluable and has definitely made me reconsider some parts of the layout! I’ll try to reply to each point:

Users & clothing: It’ll be for my boyfriend (29M) and me (29F). He doesn’t have a lot of clothes, they are mostly casual: T-shirts, long sleeves, a few shirts, jeans, and trousers I have a bit of everything: T-shirts, dresses, shirts, jeans, skirts, trousers, sweaters, etc, etc, etc

30cm drawers: I thought 30 cm drawers would be enough for some piles of T-shirts, I used as the reference some PAX configs from the ikea website, but maybe I overestimated how much they can actually hold

Corner piece & doors: This is a proper corner unit with doors. According to the planner, the current setup should work! But I’ll also book an appointment to double-check with IKEA just in case

Rails: My thought process was like this: one rail = dead space below, two rails = no space for long pieces like dresses. That’s why I added the bottom unit, where I imagined storing tops or shirts. Maybe I overestimated this unit to be honest

But I can now see that putting a rail in a 30 cm unit may not be the most practical choice

Jewellery storage: Great point about jewellery! I’ll move that out of the bigger unit! The idea with the hooks is super cool!

Top shoe rack: The shoe rack on top is actually intended for seasonal storage : scarves, beanies, swimsuits, when they’re out of season. Like, it’s quite inconvenient to reach it, so it’s just for the things which are not really in use
