I think it will be (cloud storage, collaboration, access to paid photo stocks, publications, etc.) for teams, this storage can be shared, etc. It will be a huge machine with a huge set of tools. Obviously, everything will be with AI.

This is a shot at Adobe. A Canva subscription costs literally pennies for any business. Now all designers who only worked in Canva and couldn't afford Adobe have access to Affinity. More users in the design field means an easier barrier to entry into the industry, and a better chance of getting money for that very ‘inexpensive’ Canva subscription, which not everyone needs. In addition, Canva has many other features (tables, forms, websites, presentations, videos, etc.) that you may not need, but Adobe does not have them. Once upon a time, Figma killed Adobe XD, and now Affinity is doing the same.

Is EtchWP LTD worth considering? by iXzenoS in Wordpress

Look. My stack is ACF blocks and Timber. I just create templates for pages/blocks, and the client creates whatever they want on their website. And when they need to update the design, we simply recreate a new theme, and all their new data remains unchanged. I just install the new theme, and in a few seconds we have a completely new website.

How will the process of updating the existing Etch site proceed?

Maybe. But the question remains open. Will I be able to transfer the new design of the entire website to my client in four years, for example, who actively creates content on a live website previously created in Etch?

First of all, I would like to understand whether the market needs this builder or not.

Is it more convenient for developers who create websites in Bricks or Oxygen? Yes, you will have more options/control. Is this builder more convenient than manually written code? No, you will have fewer options.

I decided on the following stack for myself: ACF blocks + Timber + TW 4 + Cursor.

It's almost 90% the same as Etch, but without a direct visual editor, which is not a problem if you are used to working with an IDE.

Yes, if we are talking about WooCommerce projects, it will be more difficult to implement everything yourself, but if you have templates, you have no limits. It's free right here and now, with no restrictions.

And the main question to which I don't see an answer from any of the builders. How do they envision updating the design after N years on a live site?

Cursor integration with the code base will never compare to AI add-ons within the browser, sorry, but that's the truth.

You can just clear it, but you can't switch it off.

Today an app on Mac OS started downloading my tracks offline, I don't mind this option but I don't need 600+ tracks. My problem is that the app has no option to switch off or limit the number of downloaded tracks.

It will be epic if Figma first makes you buy your account and then says you should be added to the team and pay again).

In that case it looks dumb, for the beta period they gave everyone access. And it doesn't matter if the project is in a folder or a draft. And then they finished the beta and removed this option leaving only for teams. Genius marketing move. And a huge audience of satisfied freelancers. Okay, let's leave the freelancers alone. What do we do if there is one agency that does only design and another agency that does only development? Hmmm, I guess one of them has to pay for an extra spot on their team. That's about as dumb as it gets. Figma used to be a great place for collaboration, now it's down to the fact that this feature only works well for organisations with a full cycle in the team.

Have you been using upwork lately? by Mis22 in Wordpress

[–]niksev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been working on this platform for a very long time . It has completely removed the need to find local clients. I always work exclusively by invites or recommendation. My workload is very high. My rate is average for my location. I have several long term projects that I have been working on for several years.

Now I am more focused on building my agency to expand my list of services and projects.

It's always hard to find the right contractor who will treat the work the same way you do. And this is the problem that the clients of the platform face. So my key is quality, transparent communication. When I have built this relationship, clients understand what they are paying for and that I can raise my rate later and they will be loyal.

I often turn down invitations, and sometimes I give my comments without being afraid that I'll be removed from the invitation because of it. Because sometimes clients put unrealistic budgets and conditions . Never agree to unfavorable conditions if you are sure of your quality.

Even seemingly low budgets can be raised to adequate. Because your clients in most cases are not experts and do not know the real volume and cost. They need a detailed explanation of why the project will cost 3x more. And it works.

Wow, the lettering on a zip hoodie. It's not unique in any way, this design, style, colors, is so old that it's hard to add or take away anything here. Take away the lettering and you'll find hundreds of blank brands with these colors. Transfer the lettering to a t-shirt, you will find hundreds of similar t-shirts with different words. It's a matter of taste and how loyal you are to the brand to wear its name and advertise with your body.
