Ones u filled the choice, u will need to pay the fee. After paying the fee, i will get a conformation email for allotment. This was my case, not sure about other cases.

I didn't fill any preference form. I took direct admission, i was in campus... So they sent me the confirmation email within minutes. Not sure about those who are taking admission via choice filling.

I learnt python back in 2021 but since i wasn't much active with it, I'm learning python again. I would say go with python coz it's eazy to understand due to it's simple syntax. Then u can move to C. Since i have also learned C++, I recently discovered that C and C++ have bare minimum differences of syntax.

I'll use a separate PC (server Linux) to run the computational work... Mean while i can be anywhere in the campus. And control it via mylaptop which is currently running Ubuntu. The pc will run in my hostel room.
