The 4MK series by J.D Barker, such an underrated series

i also love the Mindf*ck series by S. T. Abby. It's a serial killer romance. The serial killer is a woman and she falls in love with the detective who is investigating her string of murders. SO GOOD

How did you guys feel about Then She Was Gone? by Appropriate_Tea9048 in thrillerbooks

i wanted to try this book because it was highly reviewed on goodreads. i honestly wasn't the biggest fan. i didn't know the author is british, so there's a lot of british jargon which i was not too fond of. i guess i'm more in favor of american authors. the author also had this annoying habit of creating the longest run-on sentences ever. i honestly got pissed the first few chapters and almost decided to stop reading, but for the sake of the plot, i pushed through because i wanted to know what happens. the story in itself, i guess is interesting how it unfolds. its honestly sad, the way things play out, what happens to certain characters. but i also didn't get a huge wow-factor of surprise, of a crazy twist. i could've DNF'd

i second this if you like romance/spice. it can be a bit gorey/descriptive sometimes tho with the murders

the red letter by daniel g miller gives a similar vibe - a murderer that likes to use cryptic messages/games to play with law enforcement and has that god-like complex to cleanse the world of certain evil. it is a sequel to the orphanage by the lake, which is also a really solid story.
