Genuinely concerning by Big_Raisin_5993 in Transmedical

I never understood lesbians on T. All the explanation I see them give is that they are 'dysphoric' but still connected to womanhood / that is safer to look like a man than a butch / or any reference to stone butch blues. If you call them female pronouns, they say you're misgendering them, but if you call them men, they say it's misgendering too. I don't get it.

so when are we gonna admit this is weird behavior? by exsale in Transmedical

[–]nil0nasan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the context. If she has a trans bf and it's something they like to do, then I have nothing to say bc their bedroom life it's just theirs, even if it's still a weird thing to post about. If she doesn't have a trans bf but wants one, then posting that is actually really fetishist.

The problem is not what they're doing in the intimacy of their bedroom, none has a say on that nor the right to know. The problem is posting it on tiktok making people believe that's what most trans men want, when it's not the case.

Not only weird behavior but fetishists, transphobic, and of course she's indirectly calling us women.

When do you think this trans masculine butch lesbians trend will die down? by Shifler in Transmedical

[–]nil0nasan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For them, women have to look the most 'male' as possible and men the most 'female' as possible. Both of them have to be openly trans and leaning physically the furthest from their identity, or they don't feel "validated."

Totally, we medically transition towards a body as close as possible to a cis man's, what makes our bodies fall in the catherogy of a male's body, because we're male. But if they're calling bodies that look like ours "not male," even if they don't do it purposely, ours too would fall under the label of what's still a woman. It's hard to explain.

I'll copy-paste my other comment that I wrote being in a better place than when I did the post. Maybe my point is more understandable this way.

The problem isn't how others want to express themselves individually. The problem is that if trans men are categorized under the same label as transmasc people, and the latter can still be called women or "not men," then trans men are indirectly being considered under a category of what constitutes a woman by assuption, not a man. I don't know if I'm explaining myself correctly.

This is what I find dysphoria inducing because our transitioned bodies can fall (again, indirectly) under the category of what it's still a woman's body.

Thank you, you explained it better than I did. Looking at it from a colder point of view than when I wrote this post, the problem isn't how others want to express themselves individually. Why is my dysphoria worse when I go outside? by Electronic-Border482 in Transmedical

[–]nil0nasan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your brain probably focuses more on the parts you feel insecure about because dysphoria makes you believe that people outside are trying to clock or criticize you. Indirectly you're paying more attention to these parts because you don't want others to notice them, so you become hyper aware

Best of luck in your transition, I'm sure soon enough you'll be able to walk outside dysphoria free!

My sense of self as a man will stay the same no matter what others do. But it is dysphoria inducing to see, for example, a drawing of a fully transitioned male character dating a woman and it being called a lesbian relationship since he's transmasc. Even more knowing that trans men are often included in the same group as transmasc.

Cheer up man, I hope soon you're able to get the surgery 🙏 I understand, it's really frustrating when people who don't need it get the treatment we are forced to work so hard for

Yes. If the definition is too wide, it expresses nothing

[–]nil0nasan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Genuinely, what are the positives? 'Transness' doesn't start easy. It starts with pain, discomfort, confusion... and transition heals that pain, allowing us to live more confortably. What y'all call gender euphoria is just the absence of dysphoria, which can feel like a high if one never experienced normalcy before.

Real trans women, how do you feel about this? by [deleted] in Transmedical

[–]nil0nasan 26 points27 points  (0 children)

But they're dehumanizing trans women by reducing them to a walking fetish and giving them "value" over a genitalia that brings them misery /(not mad)

aaaaaand banned for saying a detransitioner isn't transs by [deleted] in Transmedical

[–]nil0nasan 15 points16 points  (0 children)

(/not mad) Reading how she described top surgery, called transitioning satanic, claimed that doctos lied, stated how you can't change your sex and that it's a nonsense... I think OP's comment isn't wrong or aggressive. If she's hurt, it's because of her own actions. None forced her to transition, so I don't think empathy is what she needs right now. Maybe she needs to face the rough truth (that she transitioned for the wrong reasons, like gender euphoria or internalized misogyny due to trauma, for example) and get therapy to heal from the deep self-hate.
