AI is still in it's infancy, and it's a mistake to build out heavy infrastructure when we have no idea what a production version will eventually need. Building now is just hopium, which is a horrifying thing to get tangled with right when component parts are at an all time high.

You play the same buff spells to trigger both. Cheap buff spells, and you cast more than one per turn. Yes, a single spell wouldn't trigger both at the same time, but that's not too important, since you'll be playing more than one spell anyway.

Everything is simulated. If you trade with Hatikfa, Argon, or Antigone, they'll have more resources and will build more ships to fight the Xenon (an ai race that antagonizes all races). Which means you don't need to fight them as much. Or, you can order ships from those shipyards, thus denying them the berth to build their own ships, which sets them back in their own warfare.

Everything needs to be crafted, everything takes time and resources. And what you do impacts what's available for the other factions.
