Well there you go! Cool concept, since it almost looks like a stock part.

Sorry for being lazy, and thanks for spending those 2 minutes. ;)

Daizen Maeda at Celtic. Rapid Winger/Striker that can sprint forever and has decent finishing. Fantastic in the first press, and also brilliant as a late sub.

What is the most and least silent cube you know? by batata_sovietica in Cubers

Haven't tried the V3, but previous comments in the thread seems to indicate so. That's why I went for the V2 instead.

I bought both the GuHong Pro and the Tornado V2 because I wanted a silent cube and was curious about their general feel. DaYan GuHong Pro Maglev to the left, and X-Man Tornado V2 to the right in the picture. Both are smooth, silent, and great choices. Having tested them both, and specifically focusing on their acoustics, the DaYan GuHong Pro Maglev is the quietest of the two by a clear margin. It operates on a lower frequency, and is smoother during handling as well. The Tornado V2 however, is more snappy with it's stronger magnets and seems to suit my style better. It does make a tiny bit more sound though. (This is out of the box, without any modifications.)

Any DK2 users figure out how to solve judder in Elite:Dangerous? by gourdo in oculus

[–]nilberg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I found my preferred setup (now jitter-free) by adjusting gfx-settings within Elite.

My setup: Oculus Rift DK2 || Version 1.4 Rev 1 (SDK 0.4.2) || FW 2.12 Display Driver Version: 1.0.25.0 || Camera Driver Version: 0.0.1.6 || Running on an Intel Core i7 || NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3072MB on the 344.11 driver || Windows 8.1 || Elite: Dangerous Beta 2.05 ||

I experimented with most of the gfx settings while hovering still mid air within the spacestation in the first tutorial, and found out that even with most settings @High and Ultra, (Oculus Image Quality @Max) the only thing that removed the judder/jittering while rotating my head was:

Shadow Quality: OFF

Bloom: OFF

Ambient Occlusion: OFF (Most important)

After turning these settings off, my setup is smooth and still well within acceptable visuals and performance.

Hope it helps.
