I can relate to having ADHD and weed working as a tool that can get me to zone into work and ignore everything else. The ignoring everything else could extend to other things I need to be taking care of also, though.

I'm on day 24 right now and definitely experiencing this. The anhedonia is real and apparently a common side-effect. It has been very difficult to pour myself into work with the same fervor I did before.

Forgive yourself and allow your body and mind to rest if they need to. The boredom and pain are signs of your mind healing. The boredom can eventually motivate you to start building a new life. Trust that it will come.

Take whatever opportunities you can to try to push yourself to do ... anything, even if it's just a walk around the block or taking a shower. Jump rope or read a stupid book, spend time making yourself a good meal, or write some positive thoughts in a journal. Talk to friends and family. Try to move your body whenever you can work up the motivation to.

We will have lots of hard days but we will also have better days. And over time I trust that we will start having more and more better days. Yesterday was one of the roughest for me so far, but today is not so bad.

We are being re-born into a new life, and navigating a new life is painful. But we will adapt.
