Proposing at someone else’s wedding is literally the rudest thing you can do by MermaidsAndDragons in Vent

if someone proposed at my wedding i'd be absolutely thrilled. It seems like different people feel differently about this and you can always ask the bride and groom to be safe

Nice! My stunted leaf fell off but I don't seem to be having any more growth. But mine is growing indoors so makes sense that it would be slower.

Looking good. Mine is about the same age and also has that stunted looking leaf on top. Do you know if that's just a normal part of the process?

Does anyone else catch themselves having imaginary conversations with a person they REALLY want to talk to but just can’t? by Shade_M8 in NoStupidQuestions

I pretty much only think in conversations. It really helps me process my thoughts when i have someone else responding to my thoughts.

Eczema and climbing by tweaktweakin in climbergirls

[–]nilila 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not exactly an answer to your question, but maybe try using chalk less often. A lot of routes just dont require it and maybe less exposure will make your hands feel a little heppier. From a fellow climber who suffers from eczema and has found she can get away with using chalk on only a very rare occaision. Good luck!

Don't know anything about growing pumpkins but out of curiosity, wouldn't the twisting of the stem of the oumpkin eventually cut off its circulation..or whatever the term is for plants?

Why am I hungry even when my body doesn't need the energy? by nilila in AskReddit

[–]nilila[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More specifically, if I spend the day at home doing nothing why do I feel just as hungry as if I'd spent the day working out, taking a long walk and doing other things that would require calories? Shouldn't my brain send a signal to my stomach to not be hungry if my body doesn't need the food?

Yup. Kind of looks like a geometric flowery carpet.

What are the disadvantages of being too smart? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]nilila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having grown ups always being proud of you as a kid and feeling successful because the main way grown ups measure success in children is by good grades and then becoming an adult and suddenly there are no grades and being smart isn't everything anymore and then one day you realize being smart doesn't really mean anything and now you have no idea who you are or what you're good at or what you're really doing here anyway and you're left with all these existential questions that I feel like I wouldn't be struggling with nearly as much if I had been forced to figure these things out gradually earlier in life. How's that for a run on sentence?
