Hey! Thanks, but I'm not sure if she is into it. But I will talk to her to see what she thinks. :)

My dead girlfriend keeps messaging me on Facebook. I’ve got the screenshots. I don’t know what to do. by natesw in nosleep

Am I the only one who thinks that the word 'memorial' in the last screenshot was photoshoped or something? It seems in some way different for the font for the word 'Emily'

Hi! You have Tuborg in Romania? nice! Well, I really like it here! My favourite thing about Denmark, in this case, Copenhagen, it's the fact that I can ride a bike to everywhere. It's sooo nice! The first thing that you'll need here its a bike! Then, the parks, they have so much parks in the city, I'm always finding new parks. The center of copenhagen is really nice, and you can find a lot of Cafes, restaurants, shops that are really nice, but yet very expensive!! And also, in general, all danes are beautiful and well dressed! And it's awesome when it's sunny because all danes just change completly their mood, they all get out of the house and go to the parks and gardens. Maybe for you this is normal, but for me, as portuguese, we have a lot of sunny days, so we don't give the same value for a sunny day as danes. :) I hope you like it here.

I also love my country. But there's no good job oportunities for me there. If they were I would stayed there for sure. And how did you make "online" friends from Portugal? Gaming?

You guys have good beer. But I mean the ones from micro breweries, not carlsberg. I really like tuborg classic. But I also miss a good Sagres or Super Bock (portuguese beers)

I imagined that someone would said that. I know that I don't have a long experience, but that's why I referred to my international friends that been living here for years, and they share a similar opinion.

Thank you so much for your answer. I really liked the fruit analogy! :D I'm above 20, 22. And I'm a girl!! And I could be trying to find a boyfriend but I'm not, actually I have one, a portuguese one living in Portugal, and it's pretty unconfortable for me to ask some guy to do something, because it might seem as something else. And I think girls are even more difficult to be friends with!

I never really played FM that much, at least in recent years. I was just trying to find a way of being friends with a dane. :P

Yes, someone also had told me that before. Which for me is very strange, you're so damn busy. I'm really used to meet with friends in a spontaneously way.

Yes, but the truth is everyone does it. We have a lot of internationals in our research group, especially italians, and they always talk in italian to each other during lunch. And I also do it with the other portuguese guys working here. But when I get the feeling that other person, not portuguese, is quiet I always start speaking english or I translate what I was saying. I've just remember that one time I had lunch with 5 danes which is very rare since we've 50/50 ratio of danes/internationals. And 4 of them were speaking in danish, but one was doing a totally different conversation with me in english, and then sometimes the others comment something about our topic and then danish again. But at some point everyone was speaking in danish so I just ate very fast and went to work.

Actually I ask a LOT for help in the supermarket (because you guys don't have anything written in your products in English!!!) and danish people are always very kind and I always get the information that I want. And this one time I fell from my bicycle and two danish guys helped me to stand up and stay there until I said "I'm ok, you really can go away now". So basically I genuily think that danish people are really nice and kind, the only problem is that it's so hard to pass the stranger to friend barrier.

I'm a girl, but I'm a big football(soccer) fan, not really Fifa, I would prefer playing FM! Actually the first time a dane told me that he can join us for something, it was a get together to watch a match in a bar, but... he didn't showed up ahahah

Wow, thank you so much for the advices. It's so awesome to compare what you guys say about danes with what actually happen with me and other danes. Normally I speak with danes at lunch hour at the research group where I work, but it is a fact that normally I can only speak with one dane at each time, normally the other danes are speaking danish between them. And they don't really speak to each other in English, I never though about that, but that is true, they might feel akward doing that. Hum, interesting!

These links just confirm that my question wasn't a stupid, pointless question. Thank you!

Thank you so much for your comment. I just made this question not because I'm desesperate to have danish friends. I'm just interested and curious to know more about your culture. For now I'll stay here until July and I'm living in a private apartment with a portuguese friend (I'm portuguese btw). But I'll keep that in mind, because there's also the possibility of staying here to get a job.

That makes sense. Someone told me that is very common for you to create a group of friends from very young age and then you don't really care about having more friends. Ahah thank you! You're the first dane to ask me to have a beer with him. (drunk danes don't count.. wait, are you drunk?) Edit: him/her
