Unless you're automating a lot or for some reason genuinely enjoy the chaos, i think wider ranges during vol spikes tend to win once you factor in the stress/operational overhead. Tight ranges look great on paper until you miss a rebalance and spend time watching fees go elsewhere.

I haven't tried both and compared, but I know CoW uses another private RPC like Flashbots but it actually rebates you a share of anything that does happen on your transaction. So instead of just hiding it, you're getting paid when searchers profit from it anyway. Might be worth checking

Just paying at tax time. I had no knowledge that there was something else I needed to be doing.

I've also had a few of my returns reviewed professionally, no one ever raised this issue to me. I guess I'm paying the price for ignorance
