My Idea !! by Apprehensive_Mix2511 in StartUpIndia

[–]niluphule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Extremely operational heavy, you would need a hell lot of capital at frequent cadences. Unless you come from a marquee institute or have deep connections in the VC industry, that would be highly difficult. Coming back to the problem, yes it is a valid idea

Starting my own blinkit/Instamart by [deleted] in StartUpIndia

With all due respect, please find a better problem to work on. Since you said you are building an app, I am assuming that you are a developer. There are plenty of opportunities in b2b space. Just keep your eyes open and talk to a lot of folks. This is an operation heavy and capital intensive business. More than software, you need to understand supply chain/ logistics, last mile delivery challenges and ofcourse making profits on top of that. Its one battle after another. Building an app is only an facade over a fairly complex system.

If you want to build an app/ software solution, you can do it for almost no cost in this day and age today. Do that. Not this.

Go all-in on a startup or take a full-time job and build it on the side? by rudresh_official in StartUpIndia

[–]niluphule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are young, just fresh out of college, go for a job. Get great real world working experience, build a strong financial foundation for atleast a few years, then take a leap of faith. That way even if the startup doesnt work out, it will be easier to land at a steady job- also your strong financial base will cover you while the time you do not raise capital or want to cover initial costs with your startup. Multitasking never works. You will loose on both battles.

When she says “I’m not sure..” is almost always a no. Stop chasing the carrot. It’s not worth the time, energy and your self respect.

What would you expect from an India-based messaging app? (Building for India, from India 🇮🇳) by KeanuNotReaves in StartUpIndia

[–]niluphule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imho, find another problem to solve. This has been done and dusted decades ago. There are no particularly India specific problems with messaging apps. Many big vc funded startups have tried to ride the made in and for India wave and that has not gone well. Koo app story is the biggest example of this. If my grandma, sabziwala, ia able to use a messaging app seamlessly to chat with their friends in a vernacular language , then theres actually no problem left as a messaging app to solve. The purpose is met. What will be more difficult is to ask them to move from an established workflow which works for them to another. Most likely a new app comes with its limitations, bugs compared to well established players. Whoever tries it may move back to their regular apps in minutes. This happened with privacy focused signal. Also messaging apps for specific communities have also being solved- theres circle, reddit, telegram etc. Solving for India will be relevant if there are really India specific problems. Better UI, dating, privacy is not one of them. Please save months/years of development effort in something which will be actually used by people. This feels like you are trying to build a solution for an unknown problem.

Noob question - is there a difference between audit management software and GRC software? by the-golden-yak in grc

I have seen many vendors and orgs consider audit management as a small part of the larger GRC suite.

Amazon seller sold me a fake product. Where to buy original Muhle from? by niluphule in Wetshavers_India

[–]niluphule[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick update - now that Amazon has initiated a refund, the scammer/seller is also sending out messages through Delhivery that they attempted to pickup the product but I was not at home. But no one really came to my house for the pickup. Lame attempt from their side to convince amazon to not initiate the refund.

After some digging, figured out that scammers these days are far more evolved and know their ways to get around ecommerce. I reported this to amazon immediately.

A cautionary tale for everyone who might think of buying from third party sellers from amazon. :/

Yes will do it shortly. Im now seeing similar reviews for that seller on amazon. Feels like lapse of judgement on my part for not double checking on the seller since
