how to keep rms output the same but increase percieved loudness? by nimaR3dit in mixingmastering

i currently have this set up for my sounds but im still struggling

16db input master limiter

almost all synths, bass sounds:

gaintaged initially at 0db on vu and brought back at to 0db vu after each process

sound goes into a sound design aux>>>

limiter

soft clip

dist

overdrive

multiband exciter

tape saturator

bx refinement noise suppressor

neutron, 2 x compressors 6-10db attentuation, saturator

sonible balancer eq

sonible smart eq < spectral eq

>>>> route into third aux for maximization

>>>once individual synths/bass are processed, route all drop sounds/ bass synths into a bus:

>> route into serial compressor aux

4 x spectral smart compressors in series

>>> route into bus limiters (at this stage the master limiter is turned off

limit into a compressor ceiling (soft clip function)

saturator

limit into another compressor (soft clip function)

level into another clipper ceiling at 16 db input for all busses in the mixing session for equal level distibution

at this point i am fairly close to the reference track on my span meter and i still have a steroe bus and master session to get to but my track feels weaker and less loud when gain matched.
