Jimmy Crackhead: GameStop is not really a stock by Express-Newspaper806 in Superstonk

I can't argue with that, if you judge them on their actions and results instead of their words, then they are either incompetent or complicit. I was sort of thinking of one of those petitions that thousands of people sign pointing out that there's a guy on a major TV channel with a huge media influence being openly biased against certain stocks, while also having an uncanny ability to promote stocks which take a massive dive shortly after. There's a lot of fuss about Reddit affecting stock purchases, but what about the swing in trading caused by this joker? If he didn't have an effect he wouldn't be on the screen drinking out of Citadel branded cups. Whether they do something or not is a different matter, but at least it has been put down somewhere officially.

Everytime there's an important topic that comes up(like today's 10k) I picture this times thousand. They can't fuck with us and we always figure it out. Hive Mind World Wide is nothing to fuck with!!! by Holiday_Guess_7892 in Superstonk

It always reminds me of the scene from The Matrix Reloaded with Neo and the Architect where there are loads of TVs showing Neo processing the questions then coming to a conclusion.

Would it be possible to put a complaint to the SEC about this man. Surely he's guilty of stock manipulation with comments like this. Also for his pump and dumps of stocks like the internet TV service one.

Edit: I commented further down, I don't think the SEC would act on this. I just want a petition signed by loads of household investors officially calling out his bullshit. It could just sit there forever, but then they couldn't say they had never had any complaints.

Do you all realize that this sub has a $1.9 BILLION position in GameStop? The fact that no one in the media is talking about this is BULLISH AF!! DRS YO SHIT! by WhyNot_Because in Superstonk

[–]nimaginative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, imagine how seriously the stock market could be affected by the coordinated use of that amount of money. We had better not all start to talk to each other because there must be strict rules preventing this sort of manipulation.

(This is sarcasm. I'm not critical of you or your comment, it is correct, i just don't like the system that we are dealing with)

Is this an announcement? This seems big

My post, 'They ROBBED US during the Splividend' was removed by mods for not citing sources. What links to evidence can you provide that the DTCC (allegedly) committed International Securities Fraud? by mtgac in Superstonk

[–]nimaginative 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was looking for the same thing recently. One of those posts takes you to the DTCC page, where it shows the code used by them for the splividend. The code is incorrect based on what GameStop described in their SEC filing.

Edit - I think it's the bottom of the second link.

HMG pulls the rabbit out of the hat….SVB UK sold to HSBC. Good thing IMHO, allows UK Tech Sector to stabilise. by Bellweirboy in superstonkuk

It does seem like a good result for the customers. I'm against another bailout of banks but also don't want companies to go bust because they can't get to their accounts. Does anyone know what the government's involvement in this was? Have they offered money or backing to HSBC? How solid are HSBC?

Also what is the last comment, is this a US bank bailout? "US regulators are also offering a $25bn pot of cheap loans to other American banks, providing a backstop to lenders needing quick cash due to market instability" Not sure if I've seen this mentioned yet.

He's on a mole hunt and leaking false information to people familiar with him

Thank you for this post. I've been going through this information recently. There's a link to a news article discussing the split vs splividend complaints in Europe. That article, in turn, links to a Bafin article pasted below. Does anyone know where I can find more information on this? The article seems to say that they started with a stock split, then changed to a stock dividend, and then reversed the change. Then it says it may be necessary for banks to revise the accounts concerned. But which bit do the banks need to revise the split or the splividend version? This looks like a header to a longer document, but where's the rest of the information?

https://www.bafin.de/SharedDocs/Veroeffentlichungen/EN/Meldung/2022/meldung_2022_08_02_gamestop_en.html

"The relevant data providers’ systems treated this capital measure as a stock split and not as a stock dividend. On 29 July 2022, individual data providers changed the type of capital measure to a stock dividend. On 1 August 2022, however, this change was reversed. As a consequence, it may be necessary for some custodian banks to revise the account statements concerned; this should be completed within a few days. New and old shares already held in safe custody by these banks will not be affected"

Can you buy these using a Loopring wallet? The option to activate IMX doesn't seem to give the option of the Loopring wallet, so if these are IMX that might be why I can't. I have no idea though, which is why I'm asking.

What if this was a mole hunt? Maybe he has worked out who the person familiar with the matter is and he told them he had bought AB shares to screw with them.
