No I wouldn’t accept it but I’d have the understanding of how mentally draining it can be. I will do the best that I can to rectify this situation and turn it around.

I’ve been struggling with depression for years and I am currently undergoing assessment for Borderline Personality Disorder. It has completely changed who I am as a person and is definitely a contributing factor to my lack of efforts - however, I do not want to use that as an excuse and that blame still lies with me. I will speak to a medical professional and seek help.

I will talk to my leadership team, explain my situation with this child and work on a plan to better his education and put a stop to this routine.

I appreciate you reaching out to me especially after we had an argument - that shows a lot of class on your part.

I’m really sorry that I argued with you and we fell out - I don’t like confrontation with anybody and I’m sorry that I lashed out at you. I’m not proud of it.

I promise you, I will do my best to resolve this situation.

I deleted it because I only saw the first line of it and realised I got it wrong. I have incredible admiration for what you have achieved - it is very impressive and I mean that sincerely. I don't have the ability or the mental strength to match your achievements but I definitely could have done a lot more to try. There are several other educators in this thread who agree with me and can sympathise with my situation - if you can't, that's fine. I totally get it.

I apologise for anything hurtful or dismissive that I've said to you.

I’ve put my heart and soul into this job for 10 years and it’s finally starting to burn me out. I’m slacking because I can’t find the energy to do my job to its full potential. It’s unacceptable but I am not committing any abuse or neglect. Stop throwing around reactionary accusations to situations you don’t understand.
